He keeps picking up his dribble when unguarded and he is about 6-8 feet too far out. When will he get it?

If he got in a full step he would forced the defense to come up or now have a free throw at most or if they let him step in, a 12 footer and in range to rebound if he missed.

Can't really complain though with his efforts on the offensive/defensive boards, and a couple nice mid range jumpers

Stevenson's effort on defense and on the glass may well have won this game for us.

Crawford and Bradley were clutch, but Stevenson and Jasper were both FIERCE on the defensive end and on the boards.

I thought Stevenson played a great game. No complaints from me. I would rather he pick up his dribble than to keep dribbling and lose it. And I think that would be a definite possibility.

I have no problem with his total game but he has done the dribble pickup repeatedly this season and did it three times in the second half of this game. It kills his options and the flow, offense ends up having to be restarted.

When PS does not hesitate and goes streight up he can hit the shot. He needs to keep it up. He played a great over all game for us today.

That's a fact. When he hesitates he misses.

All he needs to do is play with confidence....he is getting better......If he can get 50% from that 17' range just inside the top of the key, that would be huge now and next season....he can and has hit that shot...he did today......the light is just about to pop on for him.......then PPat will have just a little more room to work with.

Zactly right. Work on his shot with confidence the rest of this year and off season and put some weight on and he will be a really good player.

Besides Stevenson's defense and boards, I like his soft jumper and free throw shooting. Good job, Perry! :)

I kept us in the game early on when no one else could find the basket. It looks good too, just about everytime he shoots it. Any points he can add with his defense and rebounding are HUGE for this team.

Keep it up Perry, we're countin on ya!!

Exactly and he has a nice jumper...when he hesitates is when I get nervous...Perry played a great game for us Saturday.

You're right, Terry. When he hesitates, it's often trouble. I really believe he will get better and better with gained confidence.

Coach says that Perry has no idea how good he can be. I think he's being most sincere in saying that. GO CATS! GO PERRY!

I just noticed that when I posted on this subject before I used "I" instead of "He".

It needs to be noted that I didnt score a single point in this game or any other game all season, and frankly Im not editing the post as I like to think about me actually scoring to keep "us" in the game.:icon_mrgreen:

Reminds me a little of Bobby Perry. When he first started playing he hesitated some and that seemed to throw him off a bit. Once he got his confidence and just went up for his shot, he was much better.

That's what I see happening for Stevenson.
