Could Louisville finally become home to a National Basketball Association team?

Temporarily, maybe.

Kentucky State Fair Board President Harold Workman said his staff has e-mailed officials with the New Orleans Hornets, offering to let the team play some of their games in Freedom Hall since it's doubtful that New Orleans Arena will be available for much of the 2005-2006 season.

Would Louisville draw well enough for a temporary team? The NBA will relocate them to wherever will have the biggest attendance. I don't know who would draw the biggest crowds from that bunch mentioned in the article.

It would mean soo much to me to get the NBA here in Kentucky. Ultimately, I'd like to get a job with them. I just hope we beat out Ok city and Vegas for the hornets. This is a big opportunity for the state of Kentucky. We need this!
