THE SEASON IS NOT OVER!!! Though this may come as somewhat of a shock to some folks...

The Cats took a huge hit and I won't downplay it at all and try to say that we are all of the sudden going to win it all. However, I will not give up no matter whom is playing...even if it is I on the floor (which is probably when I should be giving up on them....).

The down side: The major inside threat and one of the 3 offensive threats the cats have had all season is down and out for the remainder of the season. Emotions are high and I would assume morale may be very low.

The up side: very valuable minutes will be played by several individuals to try and make up for this loss which will translate into a better future for the cats. More game experience is going to be very valuable for next season. I would assume some roles will change though I have no inside knowledge and wouldn't be at all suprised to see a 4 guard lineup at times and go with a run and gun approach.

On a side note, a lot of times teams come together very well and play an outstanding ball game the first game after a key player goes out with an injury...

yeah great post. I totally agree. I think that if Jodie plays well and picks up all of pats scoring and we combine to rebound well we could beat UT. We have hit many roadblocks along the way and this is just another one that we will have to step up to

I think this team will find a way to cope.

If the loss of PP happened earlier in the season, the Cats would have been toast. But now they have a toughness to them, and I believe they will find ways to make things happen.

To tell you the truth I am actually excited to see the team play without Pat. This team is going to be high on emotions, playing their way into the tournament and to show the world that hey pat wasn't the only good person on the team

This will be a rivetting game, at least early and all game if we don't get blown out. I think it will also tell us about our coach's ability. We already know all about the will of our top 5 players that are left on the floor.
