THE SEASON IS NOT OVER!!! Though this may come as somewhat of a shock to some folks...
The Cats took a huge hit and I won't downplay it at all and try to say that we are all of the sudden going to win it all. However, I will not give up no matter whom is playing...even if it is I on the floor (which is probably when I should be giving up on them....).
The down side: The major inside threat and one of the 3 offensive threats the cats have had all season is down and out for the remainder of the season. Emotions are high and I would assume morale may be very low.
The up side: very valuable minutes will be played by several individuals to try and make up for this loss which will translate into a better future for the cats. More game experience is going to be very valuable for next season. I would assume some roles will change though I have no inside knowledge and wouldn't be at all suprised to see a 4 guard lineup at times and go with a run and gun approach.
On a side note, a lot of times teams come together very well and play an outstanding ball game the first game after a key player goes out with an injury...
