I have to believe Florida is done. Given today's loss and their HORRIBLE strength of schedule I don't see how in the world they get in.

Interestingly, it looks like the SEC may only get 4 teams in if Jay Bilas is right. If UK gets in they would have to be the fifth team.

I would be REALLY excited today regarding the Cats chances if PPat hadn't gone down.

It is hard to believe but name a team that deserves to go other than UT, Vandy, Miss. St and Ark. There is no one else. Now if we somehow manage to win 2 of the next 3 then I think we would deserve a bid. As it is, I think we have to prove we are still competitive without Patrick.

Until it happens otherwise, I continue to believe that we will still win at least 2-3 more games and make the dance. Florida could still make it thanks to their creative (READ: WUSSY) nonconference schedule, but they would have to at least beat us in Rupp and then win a few games in the conference tourney. That would give them 24 wins, and there's no way they don't make it with that.

I"m not sure that Arkansas should be in your "locks", but they have sewn up the #2 spot in the West. The bottom four in the West are really pretty pitiful.

The East has UT, UK, VU, UF all that deserve some consideration at this point. So six is the very top possibility for the conference, but there are some big pitfalls for some of these six. Florida still has to play at UK and host MSU, so their perch is a bit precarious. UK, with their injuries are probably out of luck. That's down to four if these two fall out, so four isn't all that far fetched.

and it's not like those were flukes either. which is pretty much why we sit 1 and a half games ahead of vandy and 2 games ahead of ark. in the overall sec picture.

basically, our key for making the tourn is to finish ahead of vandy, and at least make it to sat in Catlanta. With vandy being a lock, finishing ahead of them cannot and will not be ignored.
