The Gators are falling fast.
Also, I don't understand how in the world Mississippi is still so high...they only have a couple real quality wins (Clemson, Vandy and MSU) and they have five 100+ RPI losses. They had quite the run earlier in the season, but their season's pretty much done at this point.

I don't get ole miss either, but look at it this way...we've beaten 4 of the 5 teams ahead of us.

Ole Miss is a perfect illustration of how the RPI system is flawed.

Ole Miss is a perfect illustration of how the RPI system is flawed.
This is why the RPI is simply a tool to be used by the Committee, not a hard and fast ranking that puts them in.
For sure its an inbred system, the power conferences boost their rankings by playing each other. For me, a mid-major that gets up to a 50 or 60 in the RPI's is a near mortal lock so long as they have played some big boys and either lost competitively or won.
With that said, Western Kentucky isn't in because of the exact reason why. Their RPI says they are in the top 50-60 but they haven't beaten any team in the top 100. :shrug1:
Just remember, its a tool, not the Bible.
