Yeah, losing Patrick Patterson for the season puts a huge damper on the season and the outlook for the future of post-season play. But, regardless of that, I haven't been this excited for a game in a LONG time. I skipped church today to watch this game (I'm pretty sure that's commandment number 12 or 13?). At first I couldn't realize why I was so excited, but then I thought about it a little bit. WE'RE PLAYING FOR FIRST PLACE IN THE SEC! It seems like it's been ages (3 years) since we've played a game this late that matters. Kentucky Basketball is back, baby. And it's on its way back to its rightful place, THE TOP.

Go Cats! Beat the Vols!

I was just getting eady to make a post in this flavor.

It's a little over an hour until game time and I am pumped. I am going to cheer more now than ever. Bring on the Vols.

Put em uuupp. Put em uuuppp.

I too am crazy excited about this game. A little less so than I was before the news about Pat, but as excited as I could possibly be nonetheless. To all the people who wanted UT to beat vandy last week....I hope now that you can admit you were wrong. Like the op said, we're playing for an SEC Title today against the #1 team in the country! and we didn't fall backwards into this situation either....we put ourselves here. How could you ask for more ?

I'm really interested to see what happens. I want to see how Gillispie plays it. Will we go big and run those lob plays to Perry or Jared? Or will we go small and try to get Ramon Harris some looks? Will we just give it to Bradley and Crawford every trip down and see if they can control the game?

IF we were able to somehow win this game, it would go down as one of the greatest regular season wins in the history of this program.
