announcers said everyone should get Ky now because Gillispie will have them back on top!!!! Spin away, red kool-aid drinkers!

They also emphasized Tennessee's rough week and how Memphis drained them emotionally and physically.

Uk played tough, and still lost.If you want to make yourself feel better by dreaming of next year or the year after go ahead. That is the beauty of being a sports fan, there is always next year.Just don't expect us to be shaking in our boots any time soon.

You're right, but we will have T-Will, Earl Clark, Jerry Smith, Edgar Sosa, Andre McGee, Preston Knowles, Samardo Samuels (rated top three big man in the country) Terrence Jennings (another top twenty recruit), George Goode and so on.

We will be hurt by Padgett the most, but we will not be chopped liver by any means.

Seems like you enjoy taking shots at Palacios, tbcf. Pretty nice being that he came from a very poor background, left his home to try and better his family's life and got a College education. There are kentuckians who wont even leave their hometown to try and better themselves, let alone their country.

So that team is better than Meeks, Jasper, Stevenson, Harris, Carter, Williams, Stewart, Patterson, Miller, Liggins?

Last time I checked, T-Will and Clark havent confirmed a return trip to school after this year. At the beginning of the season they were both supposed to be leaving. All Pitino said is that he thought they could use another year. He didnt say they were coming back for another year. Even if they do we will still be a better team next year with a better coach. When UK and UofL lace em up next season, UK will have the advantage in every position.

Im not saying "wait til next year" but since next years team was brought up I figured Id join the convo. Because this year UK will make it to the NCAAs and dont be suprised if they go past the second round

Huh?

Patterson/Samuels edge Patterson -maybe
Clark/stevenson- Big edge-Clark
TWill/Whover- Edge Twill
Smith-Meeks-Edge Meeks
Sosa-whoever -edge Sosa

and our bench will kill yours. You will have us in 6'6" guys trying to find a spot in the line up and that is about it.

Patterson over Samuels yes
Stevenson may not be guarding Clark. We have 3 6'6 guys who would do a fine job on him in Jasper and Liggins and Stewart.
But as far as T-Will Smith and Sosa vs Meeks, Jasper, Liggins, and Miller, UK has a big edge

Sad part is, that in this day and age no one knows who will be on either team next year.

I'd agree with that, but I'd take Smith over Meeks any day of the week. Not that Meeks is a bad player, it's just that Smith has proven he's better.

What, by default? Meeks has been injured the entire year.

That's part of the reason. Meeks has shown a propensity for injuries, much like Palacios. Not that I'm knocking him for it, he can't help it, but if you add up the time he has played to the time he has missed, he's still not very experinced coming to the end of his sophomore year.

All I can say is next time don't buy a USED coach.......try some originality:icon_twisted:

Yup. He was certainly used by Boston University and Providence prior to coming to coach us. Certainly original of us, I should say. :icon_lol:

Tubby? Used.
Eddie Sutton? Used.
Joe B. Hall? Regis College and Central Missouri State - sorta used.
Adolph Rupp? Brand new! Only other coaching experience was high school.

Wow, great insight there buddy. Not only does it have nothing to do with what we are talking about, but is any program like UofL or Kentucky going to get an up and coming coach to lead the team? I think most UK fans are over the whole Rick Pitino leaving thing, but i see at least one person is still bitter.

It's even more funny to listen to a bunch of fans who think their team is the greatest thing since sliced bread and are fretting whether or not their last second choice coach can even get them in the tournament.

When was the last time UK went to a Final Four?

Yeah, I know. UK won championships in the 40's.

we never said we were going to be great this year....we knew with a coaching change things would be tough.....surely you can relate.....take yourself back to the Pitino first years......no tournament at all and 2 NITS........now that is FUNNY:eek::icon_mrgreen:
