Thats awesome that your fans can badmouth a 15 year old kid

Oh sorry, he's sixteen. I guess that makes him open to all the criticism. And you people wonder why your recruiting has been crappy the last few years.

Those dumbaces are certainly in the minority. That's certainly the drawback of such forums - affords complete idiots the forum in which to prove themselves as such. :icon_confused:

and you can't tell me your fans don't do it too:cool:

No I seen it on a chat board just like this article is referring to. Using the Courier Journal as your source is real sound though. But I will say and I did see the Thread that the story is referring to. I am SHOCKED that fans would question an athletes skills. When did this start happening? I know one thing that needs to happen for this kid. His family needs to develop a thicker skin before he plays big time basketball. All teams have bad fans.

I agree they need thicker skin. (sarcasm on) That kid's a sophomore in highschool and has YEARS under his belt already. If he has hopes of playing for US he better get better right gotdamned now!
Anybody that considers playin' for us better have a thick skin by the time they enter pee wee ball, because we'll hound and boo `em like there's no tomorrow. (sarcasm off)

I've watched him play in person last year. He is a great prospect. Does he have aspectsw of his game that he needs to improve? Of course, he is only a sophomore in HS.

The downside of message boards. They are full of idiots.

It is a sad situation but when your fanbase is as large as UK then you are going to have some nuts. The kid is doing the right thing because he knows that they are the minority and the majority of fans will not do anything like that.

6'8" 15 year olds tend to be a bit uncoordinated. It is really tough to judge a big kid at that age.

The "other board" mentioned in that article has a bunch of extreme posters. It is about the worst I have ever seen. Maybe you all should get some duct tape and go over there and clean it up for them.

I don't think they really care over there. Or maybe they don't moderate enough. They seem to be worried about the numbers of people over there.
