Born in Leitchfield, raised in Louisville (16 years) and Mt. Washington (8 years).
After having bumped around Elizabethtown and Louisville for a few years, I've called Mt. Washington home now for the past 14 years.

Born in Birmingham. Family originally from Wilsonville Alabama in the early 1800's.
I've lived in every time zone in the US twice, Eastern and Central three times.
I've lived in Lexington off and on (more on than off) since 1969 when IBM moved my Dad here but still don't consider it home. Our current house in Lexington is my 18th house (5 with my wife, 13 with my parents).

I grew up in a little community called Gatliff. It was once a mining town, between Williamsburg and Middlesboro, Ky. For those of you old enough to remember Patricia Neal-she is from this tiny place.
I spent four wonderful years in Richmond at EKU. I had a professor that used to call Madison County 'God's Country'. I'm inclined to agree with him.
After school, I lived a couple of years in Dayton, OH. I have a lot of relatives there. Then, I got homesick and moved to Corbin for a couple of years, then I moved to Lexington and was there for eight years. I miss Lexington. I loved living there. I had some great friends and thought it was so beautiful. I got a promotion and moved to Carrollton, Ky.
Then life brought me to Bowling Green, where I eventually got married and had my daughter. I have been here ever since-around 18 years now.
It seems that there are always little interesting tidbits of information about every place that one lives, and there are good people everywhere. The best boxed chocolates that I have ever had are made in Dayton, OH. I still order a box of Esther Price every now and then online-absolutely delicious..
I didn't know until I moved to Bowling Green that it is home to Duncan Hines and John Carpenter. I have met John Carpenter a couple of times. He is pretty much a very private person. He does tend to bring up names of towns and places around this area in his movies.

I lived in Buchanon Co from 81-88. Dad was head football coach at Garden and then Principal at Grundy Sr.
Was there when Greg Rowe was the FB coach and Jack Rasnick, I think thats his last name, was baseball coach.
Knew most of the football players and wrestlers from about 86-88.

Oh.....many, many moons ago. Approx. 1958-1962 +/-. I was a baby. My father pastored the Baptist Church there. I'd not been back until 4 years ago. The Church celebrated its 100th anniversary in the spring of 2004 and I took my mother and sister back to reconnect with some very old, dear friends.

Born in Madisonville, KY.
Moved to Marion, KY at an early age and grew up there.
Went on a scholastic tour of the great state of Kentucky, which included stops in Campbellsville, Murray, and finally Lexington.
Ended up living in Lexington for a few years, then on to Birmingham, AL, for a few years.
Back in Marion now and will probably be here for a while considering my wife just opened an optometry practice. It's a small town (read: nothing to do), but it's a great little town and a good place to raise a family.

Matt, When I began carrying mail in Louisville, Colorado in 1980 I delivered to an old rascal miner from Harlan, Ansel Garrett...what a hoot he was even thought he was on oxygen. He would always ask me if I drank "scab beer" meaning Coors since they busted their union in the late 70's and he was always pleased to know I was in the National Association of Letter Carriers.
