one year does not a program make. Isn't that what we heard during football season? But we have a new coach and a new system!! Remember those excuses? Using that logic then our football program is better than yours. You don't get to go on the past. See how ridiculous that is? Bottom line, UL doesn't compare to UK in the past 50, 25 or even 10 years.

A final four this year (not a prediction, just saying) and I'd say UofL will have had better success in the past 10 than UK, which would have two less final fours and only one less NIT than UofL. But of course UK is number 1 because of what happened 50+ years ago, but no one but UK fans care about that.

You have two big ifs there. If we don't make it to the tournament and if you guys make it to the final four. Which by the way would still not make up for your two NIT's and two no tournaments compared to our tournament record. If you go to the final four next year also you might have a point.

IMO, there is only one team that has a good season. That is whoever wins the tournament.

If you want to set your goals just to make the final four, then great for you. UK is out to win championships.

So UK hasn't had a successful season in 10 years. Now, they have had good years.

Yes, they are very happy to be thrown a final four bone every once in a while. Just like they are content to dine off of our scraps. Bless them.

It's funny though that you all like to roll out your past accomplishments when it suits you. I mean, how many times were we "reminded" that even though you guys didn't go to a bowl this year, you had been to 9 straight bowls (probably 7 of them less prestigious than the Music City). And of course your glorious flash in the pan Orange Bowl. Stop living in the past!!!!! There is a new defending Orange Bowl champ, so your Orange Bowl is no longer relevant. Speak for yourself. We dont plan on finishing second to anyone in the Big East, and if im not mistaken you guys are in third in a smaller (in #)conference. And after we play the #8 team in the RPI, our SOS will be higher than yours, plus we will have (at least) 6 more wins.

No team plans on losing any game but unfortunately it just doesnt happen that way. I think Georgetowns got ya this game, just IMO though. And last time I checked, since Arkansas beat Vandy, we are in 2nd but its been a few days since Ive looked. Regardless, we will win tonight and on Sunday and finish 2nd anyway. Our SOS is right around 10 if Im not mistaken and will only go up. Whats uofls? You may have a bigger conference, but lets look at some of the teams you played. Like Providence, South Florida, Rutgers. The SECs competition is good all around. Even LSU has been picking it up lately. You cant look at any game in the SEC and say "guranteed win" while theres quite a few in the big easy

Uk's strength of schedule is #10. Ul is #11. After we play Georgetown Saturday we will pass you.

Yeah, the SEC is soooo good from top to bottom, especially since you have 5/12 teams in your conference outside the top 100. And we have 6 teams in the top 25. I think the SEC has 2. The only reason you cant say "guaranteed win" is because you guys lost to gardner-webb and san diego.

And is it really the same to say you are second in the SEC East (6 teams) and we are second in the Big East (16 teams)?

I really don't care if you all think it's old or not. It's my opinion and I think the S-EZ is one of the weakest leagues out there. I think one of the mid level BE teams would be challenging for the S-EZ title. Again, that's my opinion.

You all talk about how bad the BE is in football, but when we talk about how bad the S-EZ is in basketball, you tell me it gets old. It's a bitter pill.

Getting excited about winning 10 of 12 is denial? noknee I mean cardinalnation or whatever his name is now refers to that one win. Obviously beating UK is his championship. I think he is the only fan on here who would rather beat his rival than win the ncaa title. In situations like this, we need to ignore fans who are on here and use arguments that fans of both teams know are irrelevant. UK fans think that no matter what we are the best team? Well, ul fans think that no matter how many NITs theyve been to that 1 final four in 20 years means they are the best team. We can look at this season, but its not over yet. Look at the last 10 years, or 5, and UK is the far better team. Lets not judge this season until we are both out of the tourney. Because IMO, a sweet 16 for us and a first round exit for ul pretty much says UK had the better season.

Interesting how you leave out UofL and Marquette. Because then it would be tied.

Ummm they weren't in the Big East! Can I just throw in Georgia Tech's Final 4 appearance?? They used to be in the SEC! lol...good lord.

Even if you want to include them for some reason..yes, it would be tied. That obviously means the Big East is light-years ahead of the poor weak SEC lol.

with FACTS!! He just hangs his hat on one final four ( a real laugher at that) and the fact that they finally beat us after losing 3 in a row!

I'm now accepting any and all bets that UK will not go as far as UofL in this years tournament. PM me and we will make arrangements.

I can wait no longer. WHY are Louisville fans on a Wildcat message board talking about how great Louisville is? If I may try to answer, maybe it is because at least on this board they will get some type of response. Is Louisville that desperate to have someone hear them. This brings me back to the OVERALL record point. Maybe if there was some type of HISTORY there maybe they wouldn't have to yell so much. I used to root for the Ville in every game except the UK game but this constant whining about being better is turning me off. Winning 1 out of 100 does NOT make you the best. Just means you got lucky.:widcat:

You take your history with its baggage, (point shaving, hundred dollar handshakes, Emory packages, ect.) and I'll take our future. If UofL wasn't a threat to your ego, you would just ignore us, but apparently, we've struck a nerve. By the way, not one UK fan has PM'd me about my offer. Why not??

Well I am sorry that I didn't know UL had a clean plate and had never been in trouble, or even investigated, by the NCAA.

I don't make bets online. Besides, I think it is against forum rules.

I am glad that you have been able to stay around so long this time noknee but I would be willing to bet that your offer might get you in trouble since betting for money is against the laws of this forum. I have a suggestion for the next new screen name you come back with. How about first roud flame out since that is what Rickie P is good at.

Yes, it's the best I can do. No one will be ever able to top UK's accomplishment of being the first team, in the history of the game, to recieve the death penalty. There can only be one, and that's you!:)

So past History of National Championships on the AM radio don't count.. but Past History for cheating does..

Seriously

Since I have been alive UK has NEVER GOTTEN the Death Penalty

they lost tv and NCAA games in 90-91 but full operations were not closed for 5 years like SMU in football

so CN if that is what your refering you are wrong.

If your talking about 40's and 50's then ok.. but you have to count those National Championships becasue they STILL ARE IN OUR TROPHY CASE.

If your gonna count the Bad, you got to count the good.

Even Dick Vitale can see that and he only has 1 eye.

Hasn't UL been in more trouble recently than UK with the NCAA ?

Nate Johnson.. WOW good one..
