Just wanted the WCN to know that Jodie did tape the show today. He was

N-E-R-V-O-U-S

He did answer the questions, but when we got in the car he thought he didn't do a good job. I told him this was just a step in what will probably be many more opportunities to speak in front of crowds.

He is really a funny kid, and I think you all will get to see thatside of him when he gets to UK.

When we talked prior to the show, Jodie told Bobby Cremins that Kentucky would be very good just wait. The shows hosts were pretty nice. It was overall a very good experience.

The ball that he gives the host was custom made and had a picture of Jodie and Coach Smith in Memorial Gym. I had several made and gave a couple to the host and producers of the show.

Stanley Robinson was there and taped the show directly after Jodie's. He'll be on at a later date. He seemed like a nice kid.

Any ways.........have a great day and GO CATS!!!!

He will indeed have many more opportunities to address the media.

When and where will the show air?

Great interview and I am so proud he is heading our way. This young man is going to be a favorite and we are blessed that he is going to wear the Blue. He did a great job answering the questions and making his case for Kentucky. :thumbup

Mr. Meeks your son is special.

I thought Jodie did a good job. It has to be unnerving to be on a program like that for the first time.

I agree with John, this is a special young man and we are lucky to be getting him. After Dave and I met Jodie and his Dad a few months back we both said he was the kind of player and person that the fans love, like Chuck Hayes. Jodie will become that type player, a fan favorite. He ishappy to be a Wildcat and will wear that jersey with pride. Jodie and Dad are just good people.

The more experience he gets in front of the media now the better. He will be swamped in KY, unless Tubby does what he did before and keep the freshmen from speeking to the media. Still though, the media will be DYING to talk to any uk players, specially a soon to be stud like Meeks!

If Tubby follows his usual pattern, he'll muzzle the young man during his freshman season and just let him watch. So we won't hear much from him for a while once he's on board.

Randolph Morris, Rajon Rondo, Jason Parker, Tayshaun Prince and Keith Bogans all averaged over 20 minutes a game in their freshman years so there's plenty of history of Tubby using freshman players and using them successfully.
