At times, this was the most exciting team in years. At times, it was the same ole same ole. At the end....it was another sweet victory.

Perry Stevenson...WOW. Forget adding another quality big man for next season We already have one.

The FTs were nearly our undoing, but we hung in.

Amazing 3 point shots. Some very lucky ones.

Harris, Porter, Jasper, Stewart...all played their parts and played them well.

On to the SECT.

12-4 in the conference. Who'da thunk it.

Your comment about the big man is right on! Can you imagine next year down low? Silver lining around Patterson's injury...it forced him to step up and he answered!!!

12-4 in the conference. Who'da thunk it.

When conference play started, I thought the inverse was infinitely more likely.

You and just about everyone else. We can lose in the first round of the Big Dance and I'd still be pleased. With what the team has had to go through this year and where they came from just has me giddy with anticipation for the coming years.

He sould have said I DON'T THINK THEY WILL GO TO THE NCAA TOURNEY. he has dug him self quite a hole. YOU SHOULD NEVER UNDERESTEMATE THE BIG BLUE. Great win today. Cant possably us out now. And we are just 2 wins away from another 20 win season.

That should be the next goal. Two wins this weekend and going Dancing keeps several streaks alive.

Great post Bob. Great game today by a bunch of guys who refuse to lose. Our future is bright, folks. It will only get better next year!!:widcat:

Great post ukbob...when Brandon Wright picked UNC instead of us I was "shattered, shattered" but if he had we would not have Perry...wow, wow, wow and thank you Perry

I agree completely. It was during the Indiana game that I told my friend that Stevenson was going to be the key this season. Little did I know that he would be the only big man left standing at the end of the year (Ok, not the only one but still). Think about 2 more years with him...it gets me excited.

Almost a full day later and I'm still giddy about this one. My favorite win of the season and that's saying something. I'm going to ignore the last four minutes and focus on the positives:
-Screw Billy D. and his backhanded compliments. Perry was a BEAST today. Low post moves. Rolling off the screen for dunks. Rebounding with authority. Putback dunks. Blocks. I feel like we'll still only seen the tip of the iceberg with this guy. The sky is the limit.
-AJ will be next year's Perry Stevenson. You watch. The guy is brimming with potential. It took Perry a season and a half for the light to come on. I think we'll see AJ more next year.
-Can Jasper shoot his free throws from 3 point land? A guy that was knocked for his outside shot has become our assassin. BCG was really laying into him today (much like Harris against USC).
-Florida has returned to mediocrity and all in the world is right again.
-I stand by my earlier statement: Ramon is our best defender by far. He picked up some really ticky tack fouls today, played limited minutes and still contributed 9 points.
-When AJ Stewart's shot went in at the buzzer, did anyone see Jai Lucas' reaction? It was as if to say "What else can go wrong?" Awesome.
-I can't believe Speights is only a sophomore. He's going to be giving us trouble for a few years to come.
-Calathes is a punk.
-Lastly, our seniors: what a great sendoff. I hope they enjoy today with their families.

I saw Lucas' reaction. That was about the time that I said, "don't you wish you were playing here FOR us instead of against us?!?!?!?!?!"
I really do think he will secretly wonder over and over, what may have been!:icon_mrgreen: We do have the right Billy for our coach!!!!
