I remember last year when we did not land billy d and ended then got BILLY G. What a hire. I don't think there is really anything negative anyone can say now. And yes I know we lost to GW, SD and by 41 to Vandy.

I really feel people didn't realize how long it would take to cleanse the UK basketball program of the reminants of Tubby ball at UK, myself included.

Joe Crawford even made mention this week of the "previous" system and how much different it is than BCG's system. I think this is the most excited I've seen the fanbase since the days of TCFEBUK.

I was certainly disappointed with the losses in December, but I had also hoped that the team we're seeing now, is the team we would have opened the season with. But in hindsight I think those were unrealistic expectations. It takes a while to cleanse the old, and to get the players to buy into the new system. I am also a big believer of you play how you practice, and I think Tubby ball set the program back several years.
You never felt that he ever wanted to have any sort of fast paced frenetic style of ball.

With that being said, I love how the team has bought in to Coach Gillispie's system, and I truly hope this is the beginning of long and wonderful relationship.
