Was hoping someone who attended the game would at least post some highlights here. I heard Rondo presented the Jerseys to the seniors and Morris recorded a message to the fellas. Other than that I, zippo!

Today you could tell how much passion Coach G has for his players and the game of basketball. I was on the floor with one of CBS's cameras right after the game ended, and in the middle of the celebration, I hear a voice to my left saying "Ramel!" I turned and it was Coach G, standing there with his arms wide open and this huge smile on his face, and Ramel ran over and gave him a bear hug. It was one of the coolest things I've seen at an athletic event.

It looked like Billy G finally got it. He understands the scale of things here in the Bluegrass. He was quite emotional during the playing of My Old KY Home. After the game he was all hugs. The team didn't want to leave the court. They all stayed after to hear another playing of the song; Crawford and Bradley were blowing kisses to the crowd.

Quite a moment.

Anyone have any input as to why Patterson was introduced by coach before Ramel and Joe?


My brother was at the game and got a bad feeling from it, but I read that Matt Jones doesn't think it's a big deal, just curious..

It was all kind of chaotic after the game. When it happened, I thought it was just a case of PP being around the other two at that moment when coach G grabbed the mike.

I understand the concern, but PP did not address the crowd; just Ramel and Joe.

I don't think it's a big deal really. Patrick wasn't able to participate because of the injury. I guess Coach didn't want him to feel left out. Besides, he gave the microphone to Ramel and Joe and gave them their time. And they were the only two that Senior Day was directed for.

Frankly, this falls under "non-issue" to me.

I really think coach was just trying to show Patrick some love. Patrick has been such a huge part of this team. It has to be very tough on him to sit on the sidelines knowing how much he could help.
