Should we put anything into BCG mentioning Patterson along with our seniors after the game?

No, we shouldn't. Period.

No... he was just recognizing Patterson with the Seniors when talking about this years team, because they consistently posted 70% + points this year.

I don't think it meant anything at all, but it was an odd moment. Not real sure why he was singled out with the seniors. :shrug1:

Wasn't trying to be comical, just asking a legit question. He usually addresses everything as a team. I understood why he would single out our seniors.Just thought it was out of his character.

I don't think that it was out of character at all. He's talked a lot about Patterson all year long, just like everyone else has. I mean, the guy did average 17 and 8! That's very impressive for a senior, much less a freshman. He has been the key to a lot of our success, so I don't think that it was weird, odd, or fishy for BCG to mention him with Joe and Ramel. Patterson is a beast.

It's like my wife talking about Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise. She mentions me in the same sentence, lol. It may seem weird, odd, or fishy to a lot of people, but to me it's normal. Haha. GO CATS!

Matt Jones' blog mentions this and the Patterson's were surprised as well. They'll be back, guaranteed. I think PPat wants more than to end his career at UK with an injury, I'm thinking he wants to end it with a ring!

I feel totally sure that Coach Gillispie meant NOTHING whatsoever in regard to Patrick's future. I just think he's emotional and in an emotional moment about this team and the seniors he loves, he blurted out Patrick's name, just trying to include him in a special moment for the team. Coach most obviously loves Patrick a lot and hates that he went down late in the season and will not get to participate in the Cats' postseason play.

FWIW, I feel very sure about that. :) Coach is just not that comfortable talking in front of crowds. By the way, I somehow like that about him, along with his soft heart. Naturally, it's his coaching that matters the most. :) GO CATS!!!

Anyone feel 2 Pat didn't deserve a little pat on the back and some love from the final 08 home crowd?

The Patterson's laughed and said it surprised them and there was nothing to it. I don't believe many parents. I believe them.
