Go to Navy Pier and if it's warm enough, take the architecture cruise, it last about 60-90 minutes and is well worth it.
If you're short on time and can only go to the top of one building, pick the Hancock over Sears. They both provide tremendous views, however, the Hancock is a better experience, IMHO.
Skip pizza at Uno's, head over to Giordano's instead. The pizza is incredible and less expensive than most restaurants in the area. http://www.giordanos.com/
If you really have time, the Field Museum is a great way to spend an afternoon, as is the aquarium.
If you're into baseball, Wrigley is one of the best parks in the country.
MJ's statue at the United Center.
If nothing else, just walk the miracle mile.

Yup! Although when we were there in June of `04, it still wasn't warm enough for my wife. She bought a sweat shirt for the architectural cruise, and there were numerous kids on the boat sportin' coats.
I could spend just about all day at the Navy Pier, especially if there's decent live music at the beer garden.

And IIRC, Ditkas Restaurant is about a block away from the Hancock Bldg. When we were there a jazz trio was playing in the garden/sitting area at the SW corner of the facility.

See lots of the architectural significant buildings up close, such as the Carbide and Carbon Building (Hard Rock Hotel), one of my favorite buildings in Chicago.

It was a good trip, we didn't make the navy pier, but did see the inside of every irish pub in town. And had a drink on the 96th floor of the Hancock building, that was awesome. I'd also suggest millenium park for anyone going, 26 acres of outdoor exhibits, really cool.
