Cats win again. Colin Cowgill went 3 for 4 with a homerun, a pair of doubles and 3 RBI's, Ryan Wilkes goes 2 for 3 also homering.

Kentucky center fielder Collin Cowgill homered and doubled twice, leading the No. 4 Wildcats over Alabama 7-5 Friday night in the Southeastern Conference opener at Cliff Hagan Stadium.

Cowgill hit his fourth homer of the season in the third inning and finished the day 3-for-4 with three RBI and a stolen base.

Alabama (9-6, 0-1 SEC) entered the game riding a six-game winning streak, second in the conference to the 16-game winning streak of Kentucky (16-0, 1-0 SEC).
