It's always funny how the different schools always decide to use whichever ranking has their team ranked the highest.

This isn't something unique to Kentucky because all schools seem to do it, but if you notice, there is a HUGE disparity among polls.

Personally, the poll that I believe is the best and has proven to be throughout the years is Baseball America. ALL they cover is baseball and at all levels.

Having said that, I don't see how UK at 18-0 is just ranked 16th. It is true that y'all have not really been tested yet, but in 18 games upsets generally occur and it is pretty impressive that UK has been able to fend off that "bad game" if you will.

Since there are 6 major college baseball polls and it is so early in the season, I guess the best way to get a feel for what people think of your school is to average out what all the polls say. Even then, you are dealing with a bunch of people's opinions very early in the season.

Great first weekend against Bama.

By taking a look at y'alls schedule, it is very rear-end loaded with the toughest SEC games all being towards the end of the season.

Good luck except on March 28th when you get your first loss. :icon_mrgreen:

very nice post my friend. i truly believe that the cats are for real this season. i have seen them this season and i think that they are a VERY tough team to beat. not sure which poll your looking at, but the one i see has us a 4th as of right now. best of luck to your team this year... but i really like mine.

We are all homers when it comes to our team and defending it, so of course you are going to say that you "really like" yours.... as you should.

Even at 18-0 though Kentucky is ranked behind 3 SEC schools, 2 of which are from the SEC East.

Anyone that is willing to step outside the box though and get away from just posting on a homer type site is more than welcome to come discuss sports on my site with people from all the ACC and SEC teams.
