The guards.

Bradley and James are somewhat similar players who could really use this game to vault themselves up in the eyes of scouts. Bradley's name has been whispered as a possible 2nd round pick for some weeks now; a big showing against James could help him a lot.

James declared for the draft and returned last year after having perhaps the worst showing of any prospect, dropping from late first round to undraftable. A big game here could get him back to where he was prior to the draft last year.

Unlike Bradley, Crawford was well known for NBA potential before his time at UK. A very strong day against great guard competition could really push him back into the radars of many scouts.

Of course, nobody will have their NBA future decided on this game. But a big showing during the game, and in the subsequent games, could play a huge role.

I have a gut feeling that Stevenson is going to have a monster game against marquette.

Regarding above comments on Stevenson and his game against Marquette, I surely hope you're correct!

I think it's a fair assessment to say that it's gonna be a guard-dominated game, at least from the scouting reports.

But the big key is going to be the play of Stevenson in the inside. If he can bring one of his A games, we'll get the victory.

I'll go ahead and predict that Stevenson will pick up a few early fouls and AJ steps up big for us.

They both dominate the post in the second half.

jared carters coming out party....
just kiddin' again
but.....
you never know!!!!!!!!!
seriously I think it might be a combo of harris/jasper having
the big game...jasper is a matchup problem and harris is VERY under-rated!

The further we go, the more Joe benefits. I'm not sure anyone outside of KY understands how good of a one-on-one player he is. He will give up some height at the next level but he's gotten better every year too. Joe also loves the road games so I expect him to score over 20 tomorrow.

Joe Crawford is quietly turning into Keith Bogans II. And Bogans has carved out a nice pro career after going mid-2nd round. Both had a funk-period in their UK careers, both are very strong, both can shoot from deep and get to the rack.

And tomorrow Joe Crawford gets to stick it to Marquette, who ended Keith Bogans' Kentucky career in 2003. I'm really proud of the leader and player Joe Crawford has turned into.

I hope we have a game like Florida. Where everyone comes out with their A game! And I agree, Stevenson will be big! This kid keeps getting better and better!
