I was there with 10 other people. I was in Atlanta on business, went to Chops early for a great steak, and got to the Dome right when Bama took it to overtime. I was very disappointed in not seeing the CATS, but after seeing the destruction, I was just thankful nobody was killed or seriously injured. Everybody at the Dome that night is very fortunate.

Winston and I were there.... it was crazy..... and the walk home was even crazier with all of the mess, I am sure glad I was in the Dome, and not outside of it....

I bought a lower level ticket from a UT fan at face value and will keep it even if they offer a refund...it might be worth something down the road although I would never $$$ it because it is going into my Wildcat archives.

I was there with KendyKat ironically sitting behind the same guys that we sit behind in Commonwealth. I still can't believe how the trip turned out. I am thankful to be alive. We were sitting directly beneath a huge thing of lights that I am sure if they had fallen would have been fatal.

I was there also, along with Bigcat25, Winston, and Wildcat Sue. I was really wanting to see the cats play, but more thankful that everyone was safe.........By the way if you want to see 4 people take off like none other, just be walking downtown Atlanta when a fire truck comes by and the driver says "take cover immediately".....that scared the heck out of us......

I was there. Section 105 with the big beam swaying right over top of my head. Scary stuff, but a story I'll be able to tell my kids, nonetheless.

Yep, I was there. What an experience. It would have been great to actually get to see the Cats play. UK had the most fans there, and we were the only ones who didn't get to see our guys play a single game. We just had to get stuck with the last slot on Friday night.

What's funny is that we were all happy about this draw before the tourney started. :icon_lol:

relatively new to this site, but I was there with my dad in the front row of the Mezz. Level. My dad asked "Is that rain" I looked up and saw everything shaking then saw the hole get ripped in the side of the Ga. Dome. and replied - "That ain't rain" We went downstairs to see the glass busted out of the entry doors to the Ga. Dome.
Spent the next hour in the bathroom watching TV and the Raycom broadcast.
Once we started the game again, I got real excited as it was apparent that everyone was safe and there seemed to be a mood that this great game of basketball is so, so special(at least that was what I felt).
Then, after the first game everyone started chanting Blue/White and it was really starting to get electric - then came the postponemnet announcement.
I was mad at the cancellation until I walked through downtown Atlanta on Block after block of shattered glass.
I too have my stub (already framed) in my bar downstaris. The stub is matted with the Words "The Tornado Tourney 2008" on the mat./
An unbelievable experience.

I really enjoyed seeing everyone again !!! The Pep Rally and pre-game at CNN was great!! But Terry, much like a Who concern, I had no idea what was really going on outside the venue until after we left it. I must have been back at the concession stand or bathroom when it hit, and only saw the aftermath and heard about the slidht damage to the Dome. When we walked back to the CNN center, I realized how lucky we had been. Glad to hear everyone made it home safe. Geez, three years ago we had the Brian Nichols incident, and now this!!! I will keep at least one ticket stub for the scrapbook.
