I really do not know. They are hurting deapth wise. I am proud of them whatever happens. I would say 2 wins at most this year. But beware for us in the near future. We will be getting better and better and by 2009 a serious contender if not sooner.

I think we match up well with Marquette. The oddsmakers aren't giving us any love (we are the biggest dog of all 11 seeds) but we will give Marquette all they can handle and come out on top. Stanford presents a problem for us given their inside presence even though the twins are a bit slow. Still, without Ppat the matchup problems are too much to overcome. I think we fall a tad short against the Cardinal. I will be cheering hard for Cornell:widcat:

I would not be shocked if they lost in the first round and I also would not be shocked if they were in the Sweet 16. This is a tough team that has battled adversity all year and should be a tough out.
I know one thing I will see in the tourney from the CATS, a lot of heart, grit, and hustle. Go CATS!!

I'm happy as long as we get past the first round. All week people at my school have been bashing us saying we don't have a chance against a #6 seed. I want to prove them wrong.

I think drawing Marquette as a 6 seed was about as favorable as we could've hoped for. We match up well with them.
However, we do NOT match up well with Stanford, who will be our probable second round matchup. I see us losing this game, but with this group - you never know!

I will be very happy if we are able to get past Marquette in the first round. If this team is able to put something together and make a sweet sixteen run, I would be as happy as I have been since the 98 title run. With this team, a sweet sixteen would just about feel like a final four. It would be amazing. All that being said, I think we win on Thursday, and probably get bounced in the second game. Even with everyone playing the way they have been in recent weeks, we just don't have the depth without Patterson and Meeks to make a serious run. I sure hope i am wrong though.

"How far will the Cats go?"
My answer at this point in the season is the same every year: "All the way, baby!"
Of course, it would take a miracle, but I cannot predict otherwise.

I really can't see this team past Stanford without Patterson. With him we'd probably not be an 11-seed but if we we're there would be a much better chance.
Either way, the Cats have shown me something to get excited about for next year by not folding tent this year.

After the start we had, I'm just happy we made it to the dance. Win or lose I am proud of this group.
Go CATS!!!! Beat Marquette.
