Some 100 UK faithful in the Los Angeles area are going to the UK v. Marquette game this Thursday morning. What a shock...UK in Los Angeles area. This is huge. We are all thrilled to see our CATS live. (I know, no big deal to you guys where a game at Rupp is just another night out). UK has only played So Cal about 4 times since the 50's. I saw them about four years ago for the Wooden Classic v. UCLA, also at the Arrowhead Pond.
Anybody coming out for the game? Look for me in the blue polo, lol.

Thanks. UCLA is my adopted team in basketball and USC in football. In this case UK and UCLA are in different regionals and wouldn't meet until the Final Four and I don't think UK will make it that far. If they do, I will definitely pull for the CATS. I hope UK advances and can knock off Stanford, who beat UK in the NCAA a few years ago.

Glad you're getting to see the 'Cats in person, LAcat. But, if I might make one small correction to your comments: A game at Rupp is not now, nor has it ever been, just "another night out". ;):icon_mrgreen:

Wish I could be there, I was lucky enough to see them take down Villanova last year. Be loud and proud of our team.

LACat , I was thinking about making the trip. Where is a close hotel in relevance to where the game is?

The team and fans are staying at the Anaheim Sheraton...across from Disney ESPN Zone and shuttle close to the arena (next to Angels Stadium). This is probably too late for you now. If you take a 6:00 am flight out you could be here at 8:00 am PT. The game is at 11:30 am. If UK wins, you could pick loser Marquette tickets for the Sat games, including UCLA.

Thanks everyone for the encouraging words. This is one of the biggest events in So Cal UK Alumni history. The last big one was UK v. UCLA about four years ago and in 1975 for the national championship game in San Diego.

Have a blast at the game and hopefully there won't be any earthquakes or other natural disasters that we were unable to avoid in Atlanta. :icon_sad:
