I seriously doubt it, but he has been dressing every game so who knows.
How long has Patterson been resting his foot?

If we are lucky we will see Meeks, but there is no way we will see Patterson playing. That is a fact.

If Jodie is still limping like he was in the lobby of the hotel in Atlanta this weekend, then sorry, folks. I'd say he's done for the year.

As much as I wish we would, I don't see it happening. Jodie has been out of the rotation so long he won't have his game stamina. Same with Patterson, although not as pronounced.

NO.....I want them both back next year 100% healthy
Patterson is still talking about surgery, there is no way he plays. He is done for the year. Period. I just don't see Jodie playing either. He has been out so long I doubt he suddenly heals this week. Plus even if he is feeling better he will be in terrible shape. Unfortunately it looks like the next time we will see either on the court is Midnight madness.

Player health is of foremost importance.
P^2 is absolutely out, however far the Wildcats advance in this tournament.
As for Jodie, I read that BCG said he will try to "give it a go." But I would not expect many minutes of PT, regardless.

At this late stage of the season there is no need for further damage to either of their injuries. Probably best that they not attempt to play and use the off season to get healthy. It would be nice to have them but it is more important to have them ready for next year.

No I don't. We are what we are. Short-handed but hungry.

Spot on in my opinion. Even if Meeks plays, which I don't think is even a vague possibility, I don't see how he could be effective at all.

If that came to pass what a glorious day Thursday would be.
They say his practices are harder than the games and most of the injuries this season have came in practice. Lord it would be so great to see both start the game! Marquette's coaching staff would crap their pants.

No, I don't think he will play, and shouldn't. We need Jodie to heal properly and be ready to help us next season. Playing while still injured will not help him or the team.

I see absolutely no need to even hope Jodie Meeks plays in the NCAA tourney. The risk is too great for both Jodie and UK in the long term.
Face it folks, we're playing with house money as of tomorrow. Just getting into the NCAA tourney was a big accomplishment for this team. We have a great shot at beating Marquette. Stanford (if we get that far) is a whole different animal.
I can understand how Jodie Meeks' season played out up until now. I don't blame anyone or anything for it. But I also don't see the need to play him now. He won't be anything near 100% and it just would just be too big a risk, IMHO.

It would be great to take the floor against Marquette with Patterson and Meeks but I think I would rather see them continue to rest and work on getting healthy for next year. There is no reason to jeopardize their futures. Short handed as UK is, I still think they have a good shot at beating MU.

Meeks is suppose to be going to Philly for another dr's opinion...he is not healing right and they do not know why?...this is from his dad and they are concerned about the healing process and why it's not helping...he can walk on the treadmill one day and the next he can't hardly walk or move right...so there are some problems and I hope and pray that this injury does not put Meeks out for good....GO CATS

Rumor has it from source at UK that he did practice and had a fair session.
More than likely will be available for off the bench mental boost for the whole team to rally over Marquette! GO CATS. Another point which for me is amazing is that Patterson admitted to practicing and rebounding during the past week?? Why would they allow him to do such and risk further injury?? All I know is my prayers are with him and wish for a healing to take place by Wednesday. All true blue pray for the miracles because they can happen but, I still believe we can win 2 games this NCAA tourney. The loss against Georgia may be the awakening we needed for the NCAA. It took that early season for the turn around 12-4 SEC conference play to get them in shock mode and step it up to make it to big dance. Since end of January after 1 loss has led to 4-5 win streak with one exception which was a 2 game win streak after Tennessee loss.
So, with that in mind and it being the finale for 2 great seniors at UK, look for a spark for at least a victory dance for this week!!!
I would even put my money where my mouth is.... 2 wins with or without Jodi Meeks. With Meeks, may have a chance at Memphis!
I may be wrong on this but i still have the gut feeling we will see Meeks along with Patterson.
Personally, i hope i am wrong. I would rather have them ready for next year.
Well just have to wait and see what happens.:widcat::widcat:
"I'm going to be here. I'm happy here. It's a good team, a good coaching staff. I'm looking forward to next year when I can come back 100 percent."
That is from Meeks yesterday. Great to hear. Billy G called Meeks very, very doubtful. He did not practice yesterday, he just shot on the side. I would be shocked if he played.
