Question on buying an XM radio

Any suggestions in which model to buy - or not - for an aftermarket XM car radio? Our new Honda has it and now I want a portable unit for my other cars.

My brother's son in law has one of the XM receiver units that plugs into any CD player, car, home, etc. It's a nice option because he can take the thing anywhere and get XM.

We brought a Sony waterproof marine CD/Radio w/ XM for our boat and are real pleased with Sony.
