Hopefully after this weekend, tis team will be in the top ten once or twice. Other than that, I can't disagree with that list much. Man I wish Sparks would have made his free throws and we would have been in the final four!!!

Agree as over time it has went from pain to pride seeing a team put it's heart and soul into a game like no other in NCAA Tourney play.

Can't argue with that one. Another one that didn't end right but was an awfully (literally) good game was the 97 final against Arizona.

I almost (not really) feel bad for Utah. We have put a beat down on them SO many times....

Tops for me is the 1975 UK vs IU game. Doesn't get any better than beating an undefeated general.

Also the original Dream Game(1983) was great even though it didn't end well.

That Stanford game is one that I would love to watch again. Maybe the best I ever saw.

Nah, the dUKe win in 1998 will always be numero uno since I drove all night to be there.

Great thread idea.

Not including championship games? OK, here goes:

10) Kentucky overtime loss to MSU, 2005 Regional Final
9) Kentucky over UAB, 2006 First Round
8) Kentucky over Utah, 2005 Sweet Sixteen
7) Kentucky over UCLA, another rout, 1998 Sweet Sixteen
6) Kentucky over UMASS, 1992 Sweet Sixteen
5) Kentucky over Florida State, 1993 regional final, Todd Svoboda closes out the scoring with a three-pointer (if I recall correctly.)
4) Kentucky over Cincinnati, 2005 second round
3) Kentucky over Stanford, 1998 Final Four
2) Kentucky over Wake Forest, 1993 regional semi-finals. (AWESOME start to that game!)
1) Kentucky over Duke in the 1998 regional finals.

Ramel Bradley SHOULD'VE been shooting those free throws, if he hadn't been clobbered and knocked unconscious.

I don't know if I can come up with a top ten. but I will say that the 92 duke game is the best ever. we could NOT have played any better that night.....and neither could the satans. maybe if Sean's shot could have rimmed around for a split second before going in they wouldn't have had enough time....
I have watched that game probably 10-12 times since then, because of the way we played. every shot was just beautiful. one of favorite parts is we're making a little mini run and after we score, and before cbs can even get back from an end zone close-up shot to the normal sideline view, Mash steals it and is drilling a 3.

Not only was that the best basketball game ever, but it was probably UK's best loss ever, because of the way we played. and it took a (literally) perfect game from one of the top 15 players of all time to beat us by 1.

I also like the Wake game in '93, when we steamrolled our way to the final four. If you want to see TOTAL DOMINATION, watch that one.

the '98 duke game, since it was such a sweet comeback and such sweet revenge.

the '96 umass game in the final four was also a phenomenal matchup, we were easily the two best teams in the country that year. I actually grazed my head on the ceiling after that one.

My favorites are:

'98 Duke
'98 Stanford
'05 Michigan State

Too young to vividly remember the '92 Duke game.
