The one early game I wanted to watch was Arkansas/Bucknell. MMOD says that it is blacked out because it is available on my local affiliate. I have both the Lexington and Louisville affiliate, and BOTH ar showing Ohio State. UGH!!!!!!!!!!

When are they going to learn that even though we are geographically closer to Ohio, we are in SEC territory. And what is the deal with MMOD? Where do they think I live?

Sounds like bad communications between the local stations and CBS. I tend to think that the locals dropped the ball, not CBS on this. The station, when in a double coverage area can request a specific game.

Then the bonus coverage at halftime is the Iowa game instead of Arkansas. Great.

I finally get Arkansas with 8 minutes to go and Arkansas down 7. If I had been watching, Arkansas would be ahead.

The local affiliates have no say in the matter, don't blame them.

Stations in that area were having to decide whether to show the Alabama - Marquette game or the South Alabama - Florida game. According to them, they had to make the decision, not CBS. Of course, they may have been not telling the truth .... this is Alabama. ;)

Well, I'm sitting in Master Control at the CBS affiliate in Cincy and they'vebeen allover the place. We have a dedicated game on HD (Pitt vs. Kent State) but we have absolutely no control over our analog broadcast. We started with the Pitt game but now they're covering the UConn game with occasional look-ins to other games.

Sounds like the Mobile affiliate officials were wanting to sound like they were in control when they really weren't. Not too surprising.

I did see that the other game (Bama in this case) was going to shown on a cable access channel. Kinda surprised that CBS would allow that.

The Kentucky game is blacked out in our area. Unfortunately, the Murray State game is being shown on our CBS affiliate. The Murray State game is NOT blacked out by MMOD. Doesn't matter to me, personally, I'm stuck at work, so its radio or nothing. But its affecting my wife, and darnit, that upsets me!

A good system, but it has some quirks that'll need to be worked out before next year.
