These local fish served blackened, grilled, broiled or fried:
Orange Roughy
Grouper
Amberjack
Red Snapper
Mahi Mahi

Yellowfin Tuna - blackened or grilled
Swordfish - blackened or grilled
Shark - blackened or grilled

Alligator tail - deep fried

Deep fried lobster claws

Gulf Lobster tails - steamed / stuffed

Good creoles and gumbos can be had in the panhandle area.

Stuffed Flounder

Many more depending on the locale.

Oops! Forgot my wife's favorite - crab legs! Stone crabs (in season), Dungeness and Alaskan crab legs - while not local, still popular!

Cuban Food - If in Tampa go to The Columbia Restauant in Ybor City. It's famous.

Don't forget about the Apalachicola Bay Oysters - Cold on the half shell w/ a little lemon, coctail sauce and horseradish. We took the family to St. George Island last week, the four of us probably ate a few hundred.

Cat, but it's no longer on the menu and probably won't be for awhile and if it is, it's too tough to eat.

There are two Floridas. The north is southern and the south is northern. So which part are you going to?
