Thanks for the heads up Terry.

Just before our trip to the Music City Bowl I got a CCR box set of three DC's made up of their three big albums. Just about 2.5 hours of CCR to and from Nashville was great.

"Creedence Clearwater Revival"
"Bayou Country"
"Green River"

I'm going to check out "Revival"

This CD spins a lot of time in my car player. Sounds like a old CCR recording. I really enjoyed it.

We saw John Fogerty live in Louisville at the Palace a couple months ago; this album was part of the ticket package; some of the songs are really strong, politically, but that is typical Fogerty. His performance was fantastic; his talents on the guitars, alone, is unprecendented. That dude can flat-out play!!!!!:icon_mrgreen:

It was Dec 3rd..I was there as well and he was fabulous..I was also lucky enough to see Bob Dylan at Freedom Hall in Oct...A true icon and it was a great concert..I appreciated it more after it was over and I listened to his Modern Times cd at home...He is fabulous and I wish I could go see him again..Aint Talkin and Things Have Changed are two of his best songs ever...

John Fogerty played a long time that night and it was just fantastic..Had some bourbon and that helped out too...lol

They were scheduled to play at Caeser's Casino this weekend, but due to the rising of the Ohio river they had to cancel. I think it has been rescheduled for September.

Always was a big CCR fan. Every time I hear their music I am mentally transported back to my hippie days. :)

I just checked John's tour schedule and except for three days in April and May in Arizona and California he will be performing out of the country through the end of June. Here's hoping he will do some US dates on his return...I've seen him three times and each show was a treat and amazing.

The group that was scheduled there is Creedence Clearwater Revisited. It does have two of the original members still, BUT John Fogerty is not one of them. Without him, they are just another tribute group.:icon_sad:

Bingo!
Fogerty always has been and always will be one of the best voices in rock 'n roll. His live album, recorded a few years ago, the one that appeared on PBS (can't recall the name right now) is also wonderful!
