UCONN picking up where they left off at the end of the season: sloppy, sloppy, sloppy.

I'd say that would work in our favor, but we play the laziest, most turtlesque defense known to man. :?

(Assuming we get by UAB to play UCONN, that is.)

This is only the second time I've watched UCONN play this year.

They play an interesting, almost throwback style. Remind me a little bit of South Carolina. They probe the mid-range most trips down the court. Most of their offense to this point has either been in the post or from seventeen feet out. Pretty old school.

Does it seem like Albany will be able to hang, or is it a ticking time bomb?

I watched one other UConn game about a month ago. They were really impressive but something else from that game really stood out... At one pointduring the game the announcer, exalting the driving prowess of Rudy Gay, said without thinking twice "I really like that Gay penetration!" My fiancee heard it and asked me to rewind the Tivo. It was hilarious.

Turning it over every other trip down the court.

No, I believe UCONN will win by 20+.

But they're not playing well. Looks like you can bother their big men a little if you attack them. Packer said of Albany's point guard, "He's got some New York City in his game." Reminded me, of course, of Ramel Bradley.

If you're soft in there UCONN will throw it up in the third row. Albany's done a pretty good job so far, though, of going in tough to the basket. Hope our guys are taking notes.

I've seen these convicts far too many times this year. They are the laziest, sloppiest #1 team I've seen in a long time. I guess they rather get things the easy way (ie steal). :?

Amazing shot by Albany to put them in the lead!

Guy throws a pass from the perimeter, it tips off Albany's big man's hands and goes in the basket. Crazy shot.

Serendipity? :D

UCONN by 1 at the half.

I'll bet Calhoun peels some paint in the locker room.

Pitt is destroying Kent State. And MSU looks tired in getting beat by George Mason.

Kent State is obviously over-seeded.:?

I can feel my bracket getting ready to spontaneously combust!

I have Michigan State and NC State advancing.

I would've expected UConn to be storming out of the gate in the 2nd half but they find themselves staring at a deficit 5 mins into the half. They don't start stringing together a run in the next 10 mins. I suspect they will go into panic-mode which is often not suited well for the heavily favored.

I'm starting to think it. UConn looks flustered and lost on offense. Dumbfounded when Albany calmly works for a basket and makes it.
