I like the team too. Joe would THRIVE in Golden State's offense. He and Buike would be reunited too!

BG has got to find that fax so he can have one more year of eligibility. ;)

Actually, Crawford may be a good pro. He can shoot it from the outside and is able to create his own shot. A good combo for the NBA.

I hope Speights goes pro. That will set UF back a couple of years.
Rats !!! I was hoping Detroit would be interested :) Maybe so you never know :)

I certainly hope Joe gets a chance to continue his career in the NBA. I don't watch the NBA that much, but it seems like there are a lot of really good players that weren't high draft picks.
I thought the whole list was interesting in that there were quite a few top undergrads that weren't listed. Do they only base the list on players that they think are likely to declare early for the draft?

That's the second description I've seen of Crawford today that lists hard work and unselfishness as strengths.
These message boards painted quite a different picture of him just 4 months ago.
Quite a change. Good for Joe.

Patterson's not on there anymore. Did they remove Patterson from the list due to injury?

I know some on here might think I am crazy, but I havent been impressed with OJ Mayo. Dont get me wrong, he is a great talent; but his numbers are a little skewed in my opinion. Sure he may average over 20 a game, but he takes probably half of his team's shots. Where Joe at least shared the load of the scoring with Ramel.

I think Lofton is going to be an NBA player. There is always one guy on the team who is a designated 3 pt shooter. Guys like Steve Kerr, Craig Hodges.

Impressive list of players. It kinda makes me want to watch the NBA just to see them fizzle out or thrive, but not much though.

There are an awful lot of underclassmen on that list that will be staying in school IMO. JJ Hickson, Brandon Rush, Anthony Randolph, Mareesse Speights, Kevin Love, many others. Speights will not be drafted first round based on what I saw out of him this year. I think Crawford moves waaaaayyyy up on that list on draft day.

Joe can def. cut it in the NBA- he's a smart player, hard-working, and willing to learn.. IMO. But like Kelenna and Chuck, it may take a few years to come full circle of him being in the league. Sooner or later though, we can see Joe on tv 2-3x a week!:icon_biggrin:

That same board has Courtney Lee going 43 to Portland. I've seen Lee projected as a late first rounder by ESPN, so I would hope with the tournament buzz, he wouldn't slide that far.

I think Joe C will be good addition to any team in the NBA. He fits the style play and he has great size for a guard and the ability to get to the basket with strength. I have enjoyed watching him mature as a player and wish him the best.

I think Rush and Love are gone, and probably Hickson too. The only way Randolph returns is if he gets pushed around in the try-outs, which is likely. You know Speights is gone if he can somehow get to the edge of the first round. They'll be jumping off Donovan's ship like rats this off-season.
There's still too much talent for Joe to be anything more than a late second rounder. If he moves up even midway through the second round, then it'll be because he impressed some folks in the camps. I like Joe, and I think he'll eventually catch on to an NBA team, but he's a different sort of player than the prototypical draft pick.

There are more ways to get to the NBA these days than just being drafted. The NBAD league has proven that for Hayes and Azubuike. So if that is the route he must take, hopefully he comes to the Fort Wayne MadAnts so I can see him play in person!!!!

Steve Kerr did have the luxury of playing with some of the greatest players in the history of the game, so that didn't hurt him having a quality career in the league.
I also don't think teams are as patient as they once were when Steve and Hodges were around. I think it's going to be extremely difficult for Chris to have even a decent career. That certainly doesn't mean I don't want him to succeed. I just think the percentages are pretty low right now.

IMO, Joe's BA career will be all about how hard he is willing to work. If he has truly matured and is willling to work extremely hard as he did this year, he will catch on with an NBA team and have a soldi pro career.
Also, Lofton will not sniff the pros. Someoone mentioned Kerr and Hodges, Lofton does not have the quicks that either of these two had. Also, both could play defense pretty well, especially Hodges, in addition to being lights out shooters. Lofton is not nearly as athletic as these two were.
