I just don't agree. We came out flat, gave up multiple second chance points and were down six before we even broke a sweat. Then, we don't even work to get back on defense and have given up multiple "throwdowns" on the fast break?

They are hurrying the 3's due to the pace of the game, but they have had plenty of time. Bradley is a little excited, tossing it up a little hard. He can get hot yet. Thomas has just sucked again. Perry has not been much better. They watch things go on around them. Morris was beating both down the court, before of course he had to try and take one away from behind. It is driving me nuts. We are outplaying this team and losing and we have a couple of key holes in the offense and defense. I would rather see 5 guards going all out than see Thomas in there any more this half. He is being out jumped out run and losing every other pass. No offense added of note. Very discouraging. Rondo and others are playing ok. Stupid soft passes out of bounds have certainly been a problem. Refs are over defending the UAB players it appears. They are fouling like crazy but only half getting called.

Shooting could very well pick up for us. I think UAB does not shoot better in second half, of course with the KY luck they will start going blind and dropping them from beyond half court. We are defending well, rebounding poorly, blocking out poorly, and interior sucks, AGAIN.

This team played hard. The first 5-6 minutes of the first half was a bit uninspired on the offensive glass, but after that they brought it and went on a pretty good run.

Considering our two leading scorers (Joe and Randolph) hardly played, I'd say we are doing fine to be in a one possession game at the half.

If not for 12 free throws, we'd be out of this game with our dismal shooting. We have to improve in the second half if we're going to round two. You can't beat ANYONE shooting 25%.

I guess we will just have to agree to disagree. Watching this team is just hard to do. I just don't feel like half of the guys are playing all that hard? How many loose balls did we dive after? How many deflections did we have? It just seems to me that we have had teams that seemed to "want it" more than this group?

Aside from all that, if this team hits some shots we should win. We need to make some stops also....
