Jack Givens scored a whippin 41 points against Puke. James Lee has scored a powerful Dunk to seal the game and beat Duke 94-88. And Joe B. Hall got A National Championship.

This was my first national championship as a fan. It felt like the pressure of world was lifted when James Lee dunked that final basket. It was anticipated all season that UK would win the title and that team, coaches and fans I believe felt tremendous pressure all season. It was generally regarded,I believe, that if Joe B didn't win it all that he wasn't going to be back as coach. That may have been a season without celebration but we all have been celebrating since it ended and will be forever.
Still the most daring move ever made in coaching was at halftime of the Florida State game in the first round when Joe B benched Robey,Givens and Claytor because of their poor first half. Joe B had to know he was putting his job on the line at that moment. The benching worked and UK went on to a championship from there.
I'm sure a lot of you know this but I will ask this trivia question. Who were the three that started that 2nd half against Florida State?

That's correct. Yep, hard to believe it's been 30 years.
