I am proud of my Cardinals. They faced injuries and adversity all season and came out of it as at least one of the top 8 teams in the country. I know if we lose tonight this board will be crawling with UK fans who want to rub it in, but I will not be ashamed of my team. If we lose, we lose to the top team in the country and the top overall seed in the tournament who is playing virtually a home game. If we win, I will be tickled to death to be going to our second Final Four in three years.

So if we lose, I'm sure you guys will have a field day, but just remember, we went to AT LEAST the Elite Eight. Half of your fans would give their front tooth to be able to be in the position UofL is in right now.

And save the "we only want championships at UK" stuff for someone who will believe it, please.

Oh and btw......89-75 :)

You should be proud of your team. They are playing some good ball. I will not be one on here if you all lose giving you down the road.

That was a good post till you had to go throwing the "tooth" comment out there.

I will have a field day.. and HATE UNC but will be rooting for them Big time..
and FWIW .. I don't want JUST championships.. I just want a good effort and competitive team and WE GOT THAT THIS YEAR with our injuries.

(Yes I was concerned in December)

JUST LIKE 1/2 your fans wanted to be 7-5 in football

(I was going to say good post but you had to keep getting a dig at UK and I kept reading and it just made me type what all I have typed.)

Ul could: 1) blow UNC off the court, 2) take the game to the wire, or 3) lose by double digits. Going into the tournament I felt like we have enough talent to win the tournament, but we just weren't consistent enough to do so. I am proud of how they have played and fervently hope they prove me wrong.

UNC's talent doesn't scare me. Sosa's attitude in the UT game does.

I really don't care if UL loses by 30 or 1

Just a long as they lose

IF they win
Ill wish you the best

(I know your hungover after the 1st point)

between UK Rick we had in the 90's. We KNEW we were going to win. UL got Boston Rick and the swagger isn't there.

UHHH, Ricky won one NCAA title at UK. That means the other years he did lose.

I agree with Radiated...it was a good post until you had to get a dig in there, 4theCards. Maybe you were just trying to cover all the bases and this is afterall, a smack forum.
btw, I haven't kept up with news about the Cardinals, but I'd say adversity has belonged to us this season and we're pretty proud of our team, too.
I don't wish you guys bad luck tonight, and I don't think you should jump to conclusions about UK fans. If you win, and if it is a good game otherwise, I believe most will give credit where credit is due.

For one, I'll be rooting for the Tar Heels because of Hansbrough. He said he was going to bring a banner and I'd like to see the kid do it.

Going to be a great game, will be the best game of the tourney.

and UK will be forever known as the team who dumped Gatorade over the coach who lost the football game and whose fans stormed the field when they lost. At least we stormed the field when we won.

I am pulling for the CARDS tonight. I hate UNC mroe than Louisville. Carolina, Kansas and Louisville have imo been the most impressive teams in the tourney so far. I will hear the smack if you guys win but I will hear more smack from my UNC friends.

So is this thread starting because your nervous about tonight? And afraid that you might lose.

If your guys can keep their cool and not get sloppy, they have a real shot at this. But they have to play under control, not turn the ball over, and not keep jacking up 3's if they are not falling.

Nope Im back for good. Changed internet services after having computer problems so had trouble getting on here. Nice of you all to care though. Just not a lot to smack you all about since your season is over and like I have said many times I just dont write smack just to do it. If I see a foolish post I respond. Its great to be wanted though.

Louisville fought back from a rough start and end to the regular season to do great things in the tourney. If I were a UofL fan I'd be proud of them too, but since I'm not I say :tongue3:

His coach is afraid too, he's already making excuses. Road game, really. The sad thing is, if they lose you won't be able to find a card fan tomorrow.

Duh! Of course we're nervous about tonight. We're not playing one of those $EC schools. We're playing the #1 seed in the tournament in their home state. Tonight is the Big time. A game that you can only dream about. I bet the UK Fans are just as nervous, hoping for a UofL loss.

I don't' really care who wins, either way, I'm not going to lose any sleep tonight.

Name me a team that has never went thru dry spells?

You can say whatever you want, but I know one thing. You all still have a long way to go to ever be UK. You might win this year, but I can guarantee you that you will be down again soon.

Uzi nation.

I don't saiy this often and my spell check is even questioning it but what the heck... GO CARDS!

I wouldn't mind seeing Louisville beat UNC and make it to the Final Four. They have one heck of a team and are making a nice comeback right now, if my team cannot do it I'll pull for the ol' Redbirds.
