I would be shocked if Miller asked for a release.

Galloway or Liggins is a little harder to call for me.

How in the world would anyone be able to answer this question? I mean really.

I like speculation as much as anyone, but this is taking it to another level.

Everybody just needs to chill the heck out. So when did ANYTHING Seth Davis had to say have any merit whatsoever!

He said last year during the Final Four that we would hire Billy G, instead of Billy D.

AMEN!

why is this such an important pending issue that it takes up 14 threads devoted to it?

you guys think Coach G is just going to duck tail and run because of the season they had?....he's fully aware of where he is and happy to be at Kentucky and welcomes any adn all expectations....if we've been listening to anything he's said this season we'd not be so panic stricken....

One factor you might want to consider is that he has missed on more big time recruits, than he has signed....

Maybe? I will pass judgement in the next few years. We may have some gems this year and I am not going to judge them by some of the recruiting gurus. The proof is in the pudding and I believe we will have the recruits the next few years. Like a great hitter, sometimes you fail more than you win.

Like I said guys, just speculation. I know, we don't like speculation here. Well I don't either. I was just saying , what if?

Course, Gillispie's had 12 months to cut recruiting trails in Lexington. With the pretty substantial mess Tubby left in terms of the shocking number of kids he recruited, it's amazing what Gillispie's been able to do in a short time.

Assuming everyone shows up, we're going to have two top 30 kids and a top 15 kid on next year's roster. ALL Gillispie's recruits.

If anyone is complaining at this point, they were never on board to begin with.

I wasn't complaining, but was saying this..

1. Patterson..... Hit
2. Miller............Hit
3. Singleton......Miss
4. Lucas..........Miss
5. Hopson........Miss
6. Legion.........Miss
7. Liggins........ Can't pass the entrance exam..

That's a pretty sad take. I almost don't even want to take the time to attack it.

Legion he got. That has nothing to do with recruiting.

Gillispie got to recruit Jai Lucas for a pretty minimal time. Hard to fault a guy for losing somebody else's recruit.

And you keep saying that about Liggins. I'll just file that away in the same file as the one that had you claiming we weren't in the NCAA Tournament, and you can get back to me.

You seem to be a bad news first kind of fellow. I'm not sure how to take your posts. Seriously or intentionally cynical?

Legion GOT here so I say its a hit. You can't really put Liggins on your list because his situation is up in the air, but if you go by LOI, then it's a hit. So that's 4 of your 7 that a "hit". By your logic here, how can Darius be a hit and Legion a miss? At least Legion played some. Darius has yet to wear the uni(though we all know he will).I just don't understand this list. Can you explain some more please?

So you think I'm bad news just because I posted these facts.. I am a realist, not a blind dreamer... Yeah we went to the NCAA, exactly what I said would happen, did... Please correct my mistakes above, and re-post it.. I thought I had it right...

You were telling us thirty minutes before the selection show that Georgia had knocked us out!

I don't think you're bad news at all. It isn't like that. I'm just pointing out the cynicism in your posts, and of course I'm disagreeing with your opinion on Gillispie's recruiting.

My personal opinion is that he's not had enough time to set up his stable. It isn't like Roy Williams, who stepped into a massive wealth of talent and was able to build on that. Gillispie stepped into a pretty dry situation in a state that has been relatively dry of talent and has had to dig himself out of it.

My original point has been lost... I was just saying that year number one hasn't been magical, therefor 3.5 million, and getting closer to home might entice him.. I think he is a great recruiter, but the first year has been tough for us... We NEEDED Singleton!!!!

This is a rediculous statement. EVERY coach misses more than they get.

Umm, they would either have to stay, or request a release from thier LOI.

CBG has done more recruiting in 1 year than Tubby in his last 4 years.

Just because he kept in contact, doesn't mean that he even offered a scholarship. Just because a kid is mentioned, remember. the coaching staff does not say who their top targets are.

If you are talking about the ACT--the regular students need a 20 on ACT for entrance. NCAA regs are a 16 depending on a players GPA and core classes.

Even if Liggins doesnt pass the exam, he can still end up here after going to LCC.
