Here's an encore edition of your/pick and score for this years NCAA championship game. Thanks to all who particpated in this past seasons UK basketaball and football picks. If the good Lord's willing and the creek don't rise I will post these again next season.
This should be a great game. Tons of talent on both teams. Both are big and quick, shoot well, play pressure defense and run, run, run. I am going to stay with Kansas. I pick them to win it before the tourney started and I will stick with them. You had to impressed with how they built up a 28 point lead against UNC. And how they blew back out again after UNC nearly came all the way back. But a big difference in this game could be Derrick Rose. I'm not sure anyone at Kansas can neutralize him. I'll stay with Kansas:
Kansas 83
Memphis 81
Hopefully sometime soon we can be picking UK in one of these national championship games.

Kansas 82, Memphis 76.
I just think its time for Kansas to win. However, I think Memphis is playing the better ball right now.
I guess its karma vs. track record with karma winning. :icon_biggrin:

Memphis hits their free throws in the end to make the score not so close but the game was neck and neck until the last 3 minutes

I have Kansas winning it all on my Wildcatnation bracket.
Admittedly, I was one of millions who felt that Memphis was overrated going into the tournament - believing they were by far the weakest 1 seed.
Currently, a crow shortage exists now in Bullitt County.
I still think Kansas wins, especially with the thumping they gave NC.
Amazing that both FF wins were decisive, double digit whuppins'.

Most are picking Memphis here and I am too. I am currently watching them against UCONN on ESPNU. If they can play with that intensity and I believe they will, Kansas will hang with them for 3/4 of the game maybe but Memphis will take them down in the end, I think.

Memphis is currently favored by 2. This one will be close and I think Memphis prevails. Freethrows may end up being a huge factor in this one and Memphis is not known to be very good at the freebies.

had to look it up memphis is only 1.5 to 2 pt fav. If its close coming down the stretch I wonder if memphis will have enough poise and ft shooting. They better have a 10 pt or so lead

Memphis has been playing out of their mind the last three games, KU looked awesome against UNC the first 10 and last 5 minutes.
I think it's close, but Memphis wins (even with their pathetic free throw shooting) 77-71.

I think it comes down to coaching and style. Calipari has been through more ringers than Self and I think he's cooler under pressure. Self almost gagged up a 28 point lead the other night, and he's got a potential $40m offer from OK State in the wings. Can anyone say "distraction."
Memphis thrives on chaos and tempo better than Kansas does. Kansas likes to push it too, but I think if the Jayhawks defense plays well Memphis can still get buckets under fire. Their system is designed to hold up under defensive pressure.
I also look for the KS bigs to work against them tonight. Chaka Kahn and Cole Aldrich may hurt the Jayhawks by picking up too many fouls, even though Memphis doesn't shoot ft's well. Memphis will get to the rack on Kansas and be shooting ft's early and often.

But I had both of these teams losing their semi-final match up, so what do I know? :icon_lol:

As sucky as my bracket has been, I picked Memphis to beat UCLA in the semi-final, so I've had some slight redemption as of late. (I picked UNC to beat UT in the other semi-final. Whoops.)
Tonight, I have Memphis winning it all. Final score:
UM: 87
KU: 82
If I get the winning team correct, it'll only be the 2nd time I've ever picked the national champion (the other time being UCLA in 1995).
