I'll be there. Got my tickets last week....mid court, but upper level. The available lower level seats were behind both ends of the court behind the backboard....so I decided sitting a little higher up but with a mid court view would be the better option. Still, row A...so I'll be in the first row of the upper level...and in Freedom Hall, all the seats are pretty good. I hate to say it, but watching a game for a viewing standpoint is better at Freedom Hall than at Rupp....thankfully this isn't the Cardinals I'll be watching :icon_lol:

I won't be able to go but I hope all you UK fans show our potential recruits some love. I have a feeling this could be one of the biggest recruiting weeks for us in a long time.

A STRONG DITTO from this corner, countrycat. :) We're talking potential point guard McCoy and big men Majok and Sutton. It's far from a stretch of te imagination for us to get two of those three, and we seemingly need to get at least one of these guys.

Again, I'm counting on fans who can go, along with UK signees Miller and Liggins, to SHOW THE LOVE and help get these guys to Lexington as Kentucky Wildcats. :) GO CATS!!!

I'm keeping my fingers crossed and praying for Majok, McCoy and Harrellson....all coming to Kentucky in the fall. I will get down on my hands and knees and thank God...regardless of where I am...if this becomes a reality.

My tickets arrived in the mail yesterday. Less than a week now....really looking forward to the Adidas Derby Festival Classic game......

Anyone know how available tickets get to be when gametime approaches? Because of work, I'm not sure I can go so I don't want to buy tickets now, but if I were to try to get them toward the end of the week, even on gameday, would that be possible?

I just checked stubhub.com, and they don't list the Derby Classic as an event that they have tickets for.

I called TicketMaster for mine. But the CS reps @ TicketMaster aren't the most knowledgeable about these type events. They handle everything from concerts to sporting events, etc. The rep I spoke to was in New York! (so needless to say, she knew nothing of the seating at Freedom Hall :p)

I would suggest looking in the Lexington Herald-Leader...or Louisville Courier-Journal....to see if anyone has placed an ad. Today (Sunday) would be a good day to check.

But at $10-15 per ticket...even if you just showed up before tipoff...and looked around for a scalper....I'm guessing that they would still be pretty reasonable.....

Hope UK fans raise the roof off the place. The loudest that place ever gets is when there is something for us to cheer for. A good loud response and that just may go along way to landing some top recruits.

Very true. Gillispie has done an excellent job getting as many of our recruits in this game as possible. Most of them are from fairly far away from Kentucky and probably don't really understand what our fan support is like. Giving them a taste at Derby would really help our chances with some.

I will be there and I am psyched about it. I am thinking on making it a weekend thing and go to Bellarmine to watch the 3 point shootout, slam dunk and 2 on 2 contests. Cant say I know much about the environment at Bellarmine so that is still questionable.

Well-said, countrycat. I really believe UK fans' enthusiasm and support at the Derby Classic might make the difference for a recruit or two. May it happen! :)

Too, Coach Gillispie has raved about Miller and Liggins as likable young men, too. I'm hoping those guys can win over a couple of teammates, making them want to play on the same team again in college. :)
