I seen this guy on tape and he was crossin dudes over left and right he made two of them fall. He is a great ball handler thats what kinda people we need on the team. He can go around any body and he can shoot a little bit but has the ability to get to the rim he needs to accept Ithink he will though we have just as good as chance or even better then every body else where KENTUCKY

There is a lot more to Allen Iverson's game than just the ability to cross-over dribble and break some defender's ankles.

He came to Big Blue Madness last October, turning down a chance to attend both North Carolina's and Duke's madness. I think that's a good sign.
Iverson is one of the greatest players of all-time. While Iverson's abilities set him apart from other players, it's his heart that really make him stand out. I hope a guy like Wall would use his heart to play the game as well.

Memphis on my mind
Two of the most talented prospects at the Invitational both have Memphis as their leaders at this point. Speedy point guard John Wall (http://kentucky.rivals.com/viewprospect.asp?Sport=2&pr_key=68235) is one of them.
"Memphis is on top," said Wall when asked about his recruitment. "Coach Calipari called my dad the other day, and I spoke recently with Coach Kellog. He said they want me to come down and see the campus and meet Derrick Rose (http://kentucky.rivals.com/bviewplayer.asp?Player=399355). They feel I have a lot of similarities to him. That is a great compliment, but I'm not letting it go to my head. I want to stay humble."

Yeah, I think we've pretty much faded with Wall, for whatever reason(s).

Wall mentioned in an article recently that we have committments from Miller and Villarino and he didnt see room for another point guard..In a round about way to me he is saying he wants to be the man..Someone noted that if you are good enough you wouldnt worry about someone else beating you out. Some kids dont think like that though..They would like to be the main option and have some guarantees..Wall has had a chance to commit if he wants to,he is a year older than Miller..I dont know the whole situation obviously, but my gut feeling is Wall wont be a cat...too bad...Lets just continue hoping..

My wifes little brother is the stat keeper for the OHS basketball team. They went to the sweet sixteen before getting beat by lex. cathloic. Anyway he would give me updates through out the year about teams they would play and the players that UK was watching. Now remember this is a 16 year old kid, not a recruiting guru. Hopson, the only thing he said about him was "lazy". Stood on offense and defense until he got the ball. John Hood, he said he was really impressed with him. Not super athletic or strong but could shoot from anywhere, really put the ball in the basket. Darius Miller, he said he was the best he has seen play this year. UK got lucky to get him instead of Hopson, he told me that he couldnt beleive that Hopson was ranked higher than Miller and the people who done the rankings must be smoking crack.
take it for what its worth, I havent seen any of the players play.
