I went to the UK football signing day party of one of the coachs were talking about this kid and how much he is thinking about coming to UK. Noy just listing us but us being at the top of his list with all of the other big boys. Of course he didn't mention him by name just said a 5 star WR from Memphis and since he is the only one from that area I assume it is him he was talking about. He said this kid has some serious skill and would by far and away be the best player to play at UK pure talent wise.

And if he wound up at UK would he be on a FB scholarship because of the Bear Bryant Rule or would he be on a BB scholarship because of the Adolph Rupp Rule? :confused:

I remember reading that about a top football recruit. I imagine Marlon Brown is the name, which I had forgotten. :icon_mrgreen: I won't forget it now. I would LOVE for him to join the Cats. By the way, if this guy is the one, I believe I had read that UT might offer the same appeal.

Thanks for that tidbit, srhill2. I have just finished reading the article. While I had read other pieces about Marlon Brown, this one is particularly good.

How I would LOVE for Mr. Brown to end up committing to the Cats! Too, I feel sure Coach Gillispie would be most agreeable to adding Mr. Brown to the basketball roster.

How the Cats could use the #2 wideout in the nation, including his 6'5" frame! Good luck on this one, Coach Phillips and Coach Brooks! :)

Man that kid is every bit as good on film as he seemed in the write ups. I hope we land him he would be a game breaker from the moment he stepped on campus with that speed and height.
