"I don't know why people think (Mike) can't run," Pulley said. "He ran hurdles in high school."

Plus, Hartline earned high marks from offensive coordinator Joker Phillips for game management.

"I loved the information he was bringing over to me on the sidelines," said Phillips, who coached the Blue squad.

"I thought both quarterbacks did some very, very good things," said Brooks afterward. He also admitted that, "Nobody has the clear edge at this point."

Nor, as Brooks pointed out, should Will Fidler be counted out. The redshirt sophomore is not yet 100 percent from his off-season shoulder surgery, yet threw the ball well on five attempts. Once Fidler has a full summer to rehab his shoulder, said Brooks, "He's definitely a guy who is going to be in some kind of the mix."

^I don't get why anyone thinks that with his build - long legs & thin. Not to mention his brother starts WR at OH St. Ya'd think some of the genes would carry over.

But I'd take +20# on him with a tick slower time.
