Per Matt Jones, I would like to see this kid in the blue and white... and Majok, and Harrelson, Flemings, and Patillo. Haven't heard much on Mackey so I'm guessing he's out of the picture.

Yeah, Jones said McCoy made this statement after the Derby Classic. Love to have him!

All reports are that he is in the top 10 point guards out there. Originally
had committed (no LOI ) to Pepperdine, but recently re-opened. Makes me
think he was kind of a lated bloomer that drew not-so-much attention until the last of his Senior year.
About 6 feet. Very light. Point guard period....not a converted 2.
Good hops.
Reputation as a basketball player...not necessarily postion only, but whatever it takes to win.

Thanks alot. If we lose DJ we will need him. From what I read on player evals on other forum he had a descent showing. BCG can bring him along very nicely I think, We relly need at least one big though to finish out. Who knows what coach is going to do but I trust him

Part of that could also probably be him being a two sport star (all-state football selection), and not spending a lot of time on the AAU and sneaker camp circuits.

Can we get him here on football scholarship? That would be ideal.

The McCoy situation is about the only one that sounds like a relative certain one right now....with him practically publicly proclaiming his desire to attend Kentucky, while Coach Gillispie revealed last week (and other reliable sources seem to have indicated as well) that Derrick Jasper is likely to be transferring.
The public address announcer at Freedom Hall during the Derby Festival Classic player introductions (and 3 point shooting contest) was practically telling the crowd that McCoy was coming to Kentucky with all the "Bluegrass faithful, please welcome a potential future Cat....who could be wearing the blue and white next year.....blah, blah, blah" talk. There were referrences to UK with Majok and Sutton as well...but it just didn't seem to reach the level that it did with McCoy.....
