Why is it that everyone gets commitments during visits to their campus' but us? Do we not ask? What are they offering that we are not during the visit that convinces them they can't go home and think about it? What more can you tell a kid than he will be a starter (I have my doubts about that BTW)? Every recruit always seems so impressed with BCG's visit and his layout of how they fit into the system, playing time is available, I just dont understand why is no one so blown away that at least one would commit on the spot?

IMO, we are trying to recruit some very good players, who pretty much can choose any school they want. There are players, Sutton for example, who would have committed while here if we would have offered. He seems to be a very good player that lots of schools would love to have, but we have set our goals just little higher. Those caliber players have been warned not to get carried away and commit just because of all the "bells and whistles" they show you on the visit. Most of them will contemplate what systems they will fit into better, and commit at a later point.
Having said all that, I can't understand why anyone would pass on an opportunity to play at UK.:icon_mrgreen::icon_mrgreen::icon_mrg reen:
Planning on being no better than 2nd best just seems an odd way to start a career off...but these are just young kids...not near as wise as myself;)

I think there could be a higher *priority* placed on some players by the coaching staff...while some other players are more "on the radar". That is completely understandable, but to the fans, is a bit frustrating when we see ourselves lose out on a "higher priority" recruit (i.e. - Flemings, Kecman, etc.). We begin to grow a little impatient, and begin to fear that we COULD miss out on some of the other guys who seem like they would really love to come to Kentucky but apparently haven't been offered (i.e - Sutton, McCoy, etc.).
I am sure the coaching staff has a plan in place, and we simply have to be patient. I know it's tough for me, and I'm sure tough for others as well. Having Majok and Harrellson commit first thing tomorrow would go a looooooong way towards easing many people's fears. And not only easing their fears, but making them quite happy. So until the recruiting period is officially over, unfortunately this looks like how it is going to be.....
