NEW YORK -- Tom Brady (http://www.nfl.com/players/tombrady/profile?id=BRA371156) was drafted eight years ago at pick No. 199.

Andre Woodson went to the Giants on Sunday afternoon at pick No. 198.

Similarities exist in these sixth-round picks. Both are quarterbacks with big arms. Both possess superior football intelligence. Both found their college production relatively ignored.

And the major common element: Too many teams passed on these two snappy passers.

I am not saying that Woodson is Brady.

I am saying that Woodson was certainly not deserving of being the 12th quarterback taken in this draft. He deserved much more.

And I believe he will become the best quarterback in this draft.

Excellent, Brian.

I was disappointed in the slot, but I've had a bit of time to think.

Did I not read that Lorenzen's contract had not been renewed? That would give Woodson a ligitimate shot at the 3rd QB slot.(I really don't know about JL's situation...really asking).
David Carr is a rehab project. Also, a possibility of trade bait later on
if a situation opens for the Giants.
Reese gave very high marks to his pick. (Go figure) But legitimate points.
Hard to pass up a QB with the record of Woodson that low in the draft.
Especially if you're not certain of Carr's mental state (hey, it's tough being
sacked 12000 times in two years) or Jared's ability to do more that a QB
sneak.

In short...I'm feeling better today about this.

Thanks for the link Brian, I hope everything in this article comes to fruition, Andre deserves it. I have heard about what a tireless worker he is, if so, he should have all the motivation in the world to make some teams look stupid.
