I just seen on ESPN that IU will only have 3 schollarship players returning for next year. 3!!! McGee, Crawford, and a senior, forgot his name. As of right now they only have 8 players on their team. Pull em' togather Crean!!!(Applause):icon_mrgreen:

I think Jamarcus Ellis and the other player Dakich kicked off the team shortly before Crean was hired (can't remember who that was) will be quietly reinstated before the season begins.

The paper in Indianapolis {The Star} I think stated on Friday that the 2 players that were kicked off by temporary coach were infact denied the chance at coming back to the team. They did not do what was needed of them to come back. They will not return. I cannot find the link today but havent looked very hard.

It was on ESPN Bottomline, too. One of the players was Ellis.

It would appear that ol Kelvin came in and made a big mess an even bigger mess.
Good luck to Tom Crean. Who I feel is an average coach at any rate.

So Crean`s team beats Ky the last 2 times met and he`s "average"?
Oh, that`s right...that was Coach Smith`s Kentucky...

I think I may head up there when they have open tryouts on campus:icon_lol:

Maybe we'll see ole Dusty Mills in the IU lineup next season. :icon_mrgreen: He is a native Hoosier, after all.

I have info that V.Jones is down to UK/IU/ and Minny and I hear Minny and IU have a great chance to land the young man! Jones is very underrated hes very fast and can set up plays, hes not the best shooter but the right coach could help improve his jumper!

I like Crean and think he is a good coach but I'm not sure the IU fans will tolerate a long recovery , which is what i think he is looking at. Given IU's glee at our problems in the early 90's i can't say i'm very choked up about their current perdicament.

No, actually, that was Coach Gillispie's Kentucky the second time and he rode Dean Wade against a gimpy Kentucky team in the first. He's an okay coach, I just don't happen to see the fascination with the guy. But...no, I do not consider Crean a premier coach. If you do, that's fine by me. I know I was very disappointed when his name was (allegedly) near the top of the list to replace Tubby.
And, if I remember correctly, Crean was supposed to beat Kentucky in that matchup.

I can't pinpoint exactly why I feel this way (no rational basis to apply to it) but I feel like Crean is walking in to what he deserves. I have never been impressed with him as a coach. Yet somehow he is considered to be great. I am glad he is not here. As for IU, you can only play on the moral high road so long before falling off. Good luck getting back on it.
