Has anyone else noticed the number of hard fouls this kid has taken throughout the season and playoffs? I'm watching the replay of the Celtics vs. Hawks game right now and the Williams foul is just one of many I've witnessed Rondo be a victim to...

It seems to be that the NBA is turning into the NHL. And, if Boston has any intention of keeping Rondo healthy through the playoffs, they better designate an enforcer, to take out anyone who has designs on injuring the young man.

I didn't see much of the games this series, but when he played at UK it seemed he was fouled hard too.

I know he takes a lot of contact, but I also think it is somewhat dramatized by the fact that he is so light (170lbs) and is so limber in the air. He seems to contort his body mid-air like nobody else I have seen.

I agree some fouls are a little too vicious, but I also think Rondo will be just fine.

Ok, I just watched the video of that foul and it is definitely excessive. Marvin will get his next season.

I was watching the game with my residents in the nursing home( i'm an activity director) and one of ladies yelled out "he's giving him hell" when Rondo was knocked down. I was cracking up. I did think it was very tasteful of Williams to apologize and say that he meant no harm. You could tell he was sorry it happened. Rondo went to the floor a few more times after that too. He is one tough cookie. I loved the fact that the announcers said that the team couldn't play without Rondo and the fact that he has so many assists. It's great to see so many of our Wildcats still in the playoffs.

He's so quick, maybe teams figure there's no other way to stop him? He's abused some pretty good point guards with his quickness this season. The amazing part to me is that since he's not a threat to shoot a pull-up jumper his defenders can back off of him a little, but he still blows by them. In my view, he's the best athlete to ever play at UK...and he just keeps getting better. it's great to see him doing so well.

It was the same when Dwight "The Blur" Anderson played for UK. The Blur's freshman year ended when LSU undercut him breaking his wrist.

If Glen Davis could develop a mean streak and transform his image from "lovable smiling fat guy" to "ill-tempered large man," then this could be his role for the team.

In the UFC and MMA world that is known as a rear naked choke. Now since he was in the air I assume it was a flying rear naked choke, it came very close to being a triangle choke as well...tell me he got a T for that.

Flagrant, and he was ejected. There was no room for that out there.

I'm too old school for MMA, that looks like an Old Fasioned WWF Clothes LINE!!

i agree. he's like 84 pounds, a rough chest pass from KG could knock him over. but on an obvious note, if youre gonna get fouled you gotta make sure it looks like a foul to seal the deal and im sure rondo knows that.
