You remember two years ago, what fun that was, when Kentucky baseball played host to the first NCAA Regional in its history.
It was all new and different. John Cohen's Cats had just remarkably captured the Southeastern Conference regular-season title. And though they didn't make it out of the initial regional, there was a enjoy-it-while-we-can feel to the affair, because you never know if something like that will come this way again.
It could come again.
In two weeks.
There is work to be done first, to be sure. It's a possibility, not a certainty. If the Cats had beaten Ole Miss Saturday to sweep the important three-game series at Cliff Hagan Stadium, clinching the SEC's No. 3 seed, UK might have locked up one of the NCAA's coveted 16 host sites. But the Cats didn't win.
