UK will face eighth-seeded Ole Miss, who defeated No. 1 seed Georgia on Wednesday, in the final game of the day Thursday, scheduled for a 9 p.m. ET start. UK will send sophomore James Paxton (4-2, 2.57 ERA) to the hill to face Ole Miss on Thursday, just six days after going the distance in his first career complete-game shutout of the Rebels. UK won the regular-season finale vs. Ole Miss last weekend, claiming wins in the first two games, before dropping the final game in 11 innings.
