1) Have a back-up Center worth a hoot (Jones)
2) A Power Forward worth something (Maybe a certain freshman next year)
3) Perry at small forward (he came on strong late in the year)
4) Crawford at 2guard (Slimmed down and Quicker)
5) Rondo Playing like he did his freshman year (he could risk more fowls and play better defense
6) A more up tempo pressure game ( With all the players next year and with hard work to be in better cond't ''No one Tired in a Game'')
Does anyone think that Tubby or anyone in the coaches office see these ?

We desperately need more than one person (Crawford?) who can consistantly shoot a three. Lose a lot with Patrick and Ravi. Hopefully one or two of the new guys will fill their shoes, but don't think they are highly touted as long threats, are they?

I think Bobby has proven to shoot the three....
Which is why i agree.... we need him playing the three....

its not one of your six what ifs but it is obvious morris has to stay out of foul trouble...thats what he needs to work on this off season

We need some better suited players if we play an "up tempo pressing game." We got out in transition quite a bit this year, but couldn't consistently do anything with it because we don't have one of those Rudy Gay type players who can really punish the opposition when the ball is in the open court.
And we were just a terrible pressing team. We got burned repeatedly when we even tried to press because we had MAJOR issues with foot speed and length.
I'm hoping that Crawford can work on his body and his mid-range game and be a guy who can be, like Keith Bogans was in 2003, a smooth operator on the break. And I'm hoping guys like Perry Stevenson and Tyler Smith (if he comes) can be important cogs in our defense - whether it's a full-court press or in the half-court - because of their quickness and height.
Kentucky Fan constantly pines for the PRESS! PRESS! PRESS! But crap, you can't press if you don't have the right personnel. And this year, because of some recruiting blunders and the defection of Azubuike, we didn't have that personnel.

You could tell def towards the last cpl of games where we went big , and had bobby playin the three that he was a lot more comfortable at that pos

I agree Bobby can play the 3 position better than Crawford. If Crawford woul work on his quickness and moves he could be a Bogans type 2 guard.
With the new freshmans for next year I think we can get us a better power forward than we have now. I think Stephenson and Tyler can be that quick power forward we need.
Jones could put pressure on Morris at least better than the two 7 foot juniors we have. And don't forget Carter will be stronger and better next year.
If Rondo goes back to his aggreive defense we would be a faster pace team. He was never in serious fowl trouble in ant games that I can remember. The better his defense the better his offense.
Center Morris, Jones, and Carter
Power Forward Stephenson, Tyler, Sims
Small Forward Perry This Gives us a better Rebounding team

Does anyone here read Chris Digg's blog in the Courier Journal. Man seems to know his stuff pretty well and seems to belive we will bring in a new strength and conditioning coach which i think would be great. I think Tubby is a great x's and o's coach but having an expert around to get our guys in fast paced basketball shape would be great.

We have no choice but to bring ina new strength and conditioning coach, scine the one they had on staff was fired during the season. As a song by the Fugees says
"It's been a long, longtime a comin but change is gonna come." Oh, yes it will!
