Kentucky: Yes, we've already pooped on Kentucky's parade for next season. But the more we see of 6-10 Randolph Morris, the more it's apparent that beneath that apathetic façade lies a potentially dominant big man. When Morris is into it, Kentucky has a chance. He was into it against Connecticut, taking on the biggest frontcourt in basketball and producing 14 points and five rebounds. That mimics his season numbers (13.3 ppg, six rpg). If Morris ratchets up his intensity another notch, and if sophomore guard Ramel Bradley doubles his sophomore scoring average of 7.9 ppg -- and he could -- the Wildcats will be a surprise next season.

Thanks for the postive words brother. Glad to know you're hanging tough with the Wildcats there in Indy. :D

Did Gregg Doyle watch Friday's game? He totally omitted Bobby Perry, who could be the brightest new star in the lineup. I can't believe Friday was a fluke. I believe that Bobby Perry has decided that there is no way he's going to let a freshman take his spot next year. I believe he has heard the cries of the Kentucky Faithful who are pining for some production in the post. I believe that regardless of the fact that Perry hails from North Carolina, his heart is TRUE BLUE WILDCAT STYLE. :)

Having said that, there is no doubt that Morris will become a total Monster next year. I'd like to see him taking more charges and fighting more consistently for the boards. And I like his touch with the ball, maybe his confidence will grow for just a few shots from the 15' area.

Last night, to make me feel better about the loss, I rewatched the 1998 Duke/Kentucky game. I remembered full well how Jamal Magloire stepped up his gameeveryseason. He might have been our best big man (that I can remember) for taking charges. He was always sliding under the guy and giving us the best acting performance ever. BTW, that is a great way to get over a loss, rewatch that game.

I think Morris can become better than Jamal Magloire. Now if we can get Rondo's gameto better resemble Wayne Turner, Perry's game more like Scott Padgett, Bradley more like Jeff Sheppardand Shagari's game like Nazr's, we've got it made. Think about it in those terms and the future is getting brighter every day.

Doyel is just trying to cover his arse because the other day he said that this team would be worse next year. I know because I totally disagreed and wrote him regarding that fact. He's punk plain and simple.

I think Perry is for real. He had 25 against UAB and 20 against UCONN. I don't think he is going to be a serious post threat but I think he can be an extremely solid SF. I hate seeing him having to match up with huge frontline players (as he did against UCONN) but he seems to be getting used to it. Hopefully, he will be able to play more naturally next season and not have to be so outsized. I think a leader may have been born this past weekend. Sharay was a bright spot. Alleyne showed up. If Rondo stays, he is of course a bright spot along with Morris (as mentioned) and Bradley and Crawford. I still think Sims may be a very good player. I just wish we had 2 more years for him instead of 1 but I think he is going to be worth 8-10 and 5-7 boards if he gets the minutes. I still like Woo but am still weary of his official return because of him graduating and whatnot. I think he can be a decent bench player and if Carter develops, another solid player. The recruiting class as it stands is good and it hopefully will get better. I can't wait. I am looking for more than a 2nd round finish hopefully. I think we can be a very good club. I don't know if they are going to be powerhouse title contender that we all want just yet but I think it is a possibility. We learned a lot about this team, too bad we lose thos seniors that gave a lot of heart.
