UCLA dominated college basketball in the 60's and 70's like no other team in history.

But once the wizard left the magic was gone.

Do you think UK is going the same route?

BTW, I think that Joe B. Hall gets a bum rap because he took over for the legendary Rupp and kept UK a premier program.

Not at all. Dook has that chance when K retires. UNC almost fell into that trap before Roy Williams saved them.

Joe B. Hall kept us from UCLA's fate. The '78 title sealed that legacy. Our greatest argument that Kentucky is the best program in history is the fact that we have 7 National Titles under 4 different coaches spanning 6 decades. No other program has sustained that kind of excellence under multiple coaching regimes in different eras.

We're in danger of losingground to Dook, UNC and UConn in the immediate future. But UK is not- and will not be- the next UCLA; one truly dominant coach and then years of struggle.
