Keep your fingers crossed that Joe makes it. To Detroit with their late pick would be nice!

Why not to Boston?

Yeah Joe and Rondo.

I don't expect Ramel to be called tonight. Joe possibly as one of the late picks. He's from Detroit, and Dumars seems to like guys like Joe.

Have no clue where and if he'll go, but that seems like it would be nice for Joe

Just hoping someone sees his capabilities and gives Joe a chance. Detroit would be awesome for him, but I'm sure he will be happy and take advantage of the situation no matter who's hat Stern hands him.

Go Courtney Lee!

"Drama" of the NBA Draft. I usually cringe when TV announcers have to interject the word "drama" as though a good game isn't captivating enough.

With that said, it will be so interesting to see what Riles does tonight. To Beasley or not to Beasley, that is the question. I know what my answer would be!

not sure Joe or Ramel will be drafted. Joe may but it will be really late (maybe 2nd to last pick) and Ramel will have to sign a NBDL or European contract.

nbadraft.net doesn't have either of them being drafted

I think if either is drafted it will be because of things you can not quantify. Qualities such as heart, desire, and effort. Somebody just has to be able to recognize these things and they will get themselves two young men that are exactly that .... young men not boys.

That last pick was awful.

Actually the last two picks have been head scratchers.

Robin Lopez? Maurice Speights? Come on.

Outside the top three picks, this is a dud of a draft. (However, that might make it more interesting to watch.)

Toronto picks Hibbert. Ouch. Welcome to the bench, Roy.

And Russell Westbrook may be the worst 4 in the history of the NBA Draft.

Of course I'm being cynical (it is a hellaciously weak draft, though), but there have been some solid picks. I really like Brandon Rush, and the top 3 guys are all obviously superstars.

I think Tyler Smith really messed up staying in school. He would probably went around 15th in this draft. What the heck is wrong with teams not picking DeAndre Jordan?

Just be thankful Patterson isn't in this draft........I think Patterson could have went in the top 5 right now without or without a mid range jumper...........

That's my opinion. Originally, I thought Joe would have been a Brandon Rush though. Rush is a little bigger, but I still thought Joe could compensate.

We'll see what Joe does.

My exact thoughts............I bet Orlando will pick him up if he's there at 21 or Seattle at 23...........From what Vitale was saying, i think Jordan would be a better fit than Love in Seattle..Orlando could have a front line or Howard,Lewis, and Jordan.............

I guess the difference is that Rush is a thick 6'6". (He's also a much better handler of the ball.)

I still think Joe's gonna go.

JJ Hickson's a pretty good pick.

And I agree about Deandre Jordan. Jordan >>>>>>>> Robin Lopez.

R. Lopez is just a HORRIBLE pick.

What is New Jersey thinking......On top of that, they traded Jefferson to Milwaukee for Simmons and Yi............It's probaly safe to say that Vince Carter will be dealt if they can find a team that can match up cap wise..........

Ha. Will, I'm 6' even. Joe is 6'3" at best. But he's built like a perfect tank. Rush is probably 6'5"-Azubuike
-ish.

We can look at the differences. I think Joe has been slowed down due to injuries. I imagined him be DA numero dos, but was disappointed. We'll see what happens.

Hopefully Joe gets fully healthy and goes to work!

Joe's knees certainly played a part in his career, but Joe also never was in great shape. (Due to the knees?) He seemed to always be about 10 or 15 pounds heavy.

Of course, that allowed him to really be an animal in the paint. But that explosive, break-yer-ankles first step you see with a lot of pros just was never there.

Congratulations to Courtney Lee! :thumbup::thumbup:

He's a guy who will play right away for the Magic. Seems to be a prototypical Orland guard.

Darrell Arthur still sitting out there?

I guess the moral here is to be honest about your writin' and 'rithmetic.

Kosta Koufos is better than Arthur or Jordan?

Perfect pick for Utah, though.

Was a crazy stat that Joe was the first player from UK, UNC, or Duke taken.

Wow...Bilas giving Crawford much praise on ESPN just a moment ago. He called him smaller version of Keith Bogans. Cited his toughness as the key to the Cats making the tourny last year. Also said he is more athletic than most people give him credit for and said he can certainly make the Laker's squad.

Congrats to Joe!

I was also glad to hear Bilas make those comments. Too, let's all hope that Joe does indeed make the roster. :)
